In short, DON'T! Email notices are to ONLY alert you of a reply to your private message or your ad on this site. Replying to the email just wastes your time as it goes NOWHERE, and probably pisses off the person you thought you replied to when they think you just ignored them. So instead of complaining to me about your messages not being replied to from this site via email, please READ that email notice that plainly states what you need to do in order to reply to who you are trying to converse with.

Yeah, I know. They are a pain in the butt. But they pay the bills to keep my server running. Just a fact of life, I am afraid.

Want to get rid of them? Simple. Just become a Contributor level member or above and they will be gone. -> Please click HERE."

Is that too much for me to ask of you to keep this site running? Well, sorry about that. I too wish I could get everything for free. But alas.....

    =====================

Google Adsense ad revenue for December, 2025 was just $30 over the cost of the lease for the server running this site. So, in effect, the money providing the incentive for me to continue running this site is coming SOLELY from the paid memberships and sponsorships here. Which honestly ain't much....

Jesus Cordova, AKA Xcape

A guy I have sold a bunch of my kingsnakes to was going to make a purchase from Jesus, some kings and milks. Until he was made aware of this thread. Good job Jesus, you just lost allot more money than $125 by not being up front.

As long as he refuses to make things right this will keep happening. He will lose a lot of sales and either have to quit or fix his problems and straighten up.

Well I haven't heard from Jesus. I emailed him and pleaded with him to do the right thing and refund my money. He has not contacted me since. If anyone has seen him skulking around here or any other websites please let me know.
Thanks,
Jim

well buddy your plan fell through i sold more snakes and they were happy with there purchases. So to all you who feel the same way he does, YOU LOST A GREAT DEAL ON REPTILES. Everybody thank JIM, By the way NICE TRY DIDN'T AFFECT ME ANY. THANK YOU

Since you have all these numerous happy customers now, I'm sure they'll all be glad to post here in support of you. We'll all be looking forward to reading of their great experiences.
One thing is for sure, a remorseless scammer like you who has shown that he is more than willing to con someone into buying their damaged and imperfect animals then refuses to make any attempt to rectify the situation needs all the support he can get.

We'll be waiting on your throngs of happy customers to tell us of their wonderful dealings with you.

Wow!

The Jesus described in the above thread is not the one I dealt with! I purchase an 05 Female Brazilian Rainbow Boa from him about a week ago and was very pleased with the entire transaction. He promptly answered all of my emails and delivered exactly what he described....a healthy snake at a great price. $150 delivered! Based on my prior experience, I would do business with him again.

You know, how a person handles things when there IS a problem is pretty important, as well as the quality of the animals. Knowing full well that he not only screwed over the guy who bought the cham, not to mention the fact that he purposely let an injured animal who should have had vet care suffer needlesly, you'd still give him your money?

I'm glad you had a good transaction with him, but did you ever stop to think how he would have handled it if there HAD been a problem?

I don't consider being sold sick, deformed, and/or injured animals a good deal. But that's just me.

If it didn't affect you, then why do you feel the need to point it out in angry bold letters? :shrug01:

Oh and buy the way, Thank you Jim for pointing out a scumbag.

That's easy, it's a recommendation printed in chapter 3 of the scammer's handbook. Haven't read it personally, but I believe it goes something like, "Always go back to the place where you were busted/outed and announce loudly that this hasn't hurt your sales, even telling folks that it has increased your business is a great idea. If the folks there are dumb enough, you might actually start selling animals again".

Using his logic...that animal should only have one eye...that's exactly what the picture shows...Come on Jesus...your excuses are pathetic. Grow up or get lost.

Would he have told you if the right eye was missing? It doesn't seem like he would...

I also do not know either party.

But the excuse of "the photos were there, not my fault you didn't see the broken leg" is completely unacceptable. How about "sorry, that animal had IBD when I got it, too bad you didn't specifically ask if it had IBD or not before you bought it", or "yes, the animal had mites, sorry you didn't see the little specks but they were right there in the photo, deal with it"? Just as bad, in my opinion.

In my opinion, if an animal has an issue the seller is aware of, it should be mentioned in TEXT in the advertisement. In this case - "The chameleon has a broken leg, which can be seen in the photograph".

LOTS of other people are perfectly responsible when listing less-than-perfect animals - such as "has a small scar on nose from an old nose rub but it's healed, it is not visible in the photo" or "snake has a small kink at the end of its tail".

I'd never buy from someone who thought that selling an injured animal without mentioning it (and not TREATING IT!) was a-ok. Sorry, Jesus, but regardless of what other business you get, you probably won't from anyone who views this forum. And it's not vindictive in any way - your attitude towards the whole issue just show you don't have a professional attitude. You may be a great person, I don't know you by anything except what I've read here, and that tidbit warns to mistrust how you represent animals in advertisements. I believe it's called "lying by omission".

I would agree with what most said on here and not buy from this person Jesus.
In an effort to see all sides, however, I would like to see the pics that were sent to Jim. As the e-mails were saved I am guessing that the pictures were saved as well.

Reguardless if a pic is sent,

Any animal that is less than flawless should come with a picture DESCRIBING the flaw, and everything that is wrong with the animal should be in writing. The excuse that he got a pic, and should have known is very weak at best. I would never do business with someone like this, you never know what you will get.

Very true, no argument there, never was one from me.
Jim just said the pics he got was of something different and there was a dispute whether he was told on the phone or not so I don't think it is too much to ask to see the pics, it would in fact stamp a bad guy on Jesus even further.

I wanted to thank everyone for their efforts in helping expose a very dishonest person. I have worked in the Zoological field for so long that I guess I had forgotten that there are people like Jesus out there that are so with out morales. In the Zoo business if you knowingly tried to ship another institution unhealthy animals, you wouldn't be in the business for too long. Everyone knows everyone and the word of mouth spreads quickly. I have the honor and privilege of making a difference by working with the worlds most endangered herp species. This might sound a bit cheesy, but I think we should all feel sorry for the morally deficient Jesus's of the world. If he ever thought for one minute that this was about the money and not just doing the right thing. Well my friends I think we should all be patient and pray that in time Jesus may mature. Thanks, Jim

Pictures

Not to beat a dead horse... It seemed that some of you folks wanted to see the pictures Jesus sent me. Keep in mind that that is not me in the pictures. Also that not once during over a dozen communications with Jesus did he even hint that the chameleon had a problem.
Thanks,
Jim

Jim,

You have stated you have been a Herpetologist for 15 years and you allude to the zoo "business"
I assume you work in a zoo.
Where do you work?

Thank you Jim for posting those pics. It "seals the coffin" so to speak. I am also more inclined to believe what you say on the he said/he said remarks.
