What a great way for what is and should be a useful tool ( the BOI ) to be misused by the " sheer horror " of a precious PM not being responded to! If a PM not being responded to is that big of a deal in this wonderful thing called life, I would hate to see how Martin would respond to actual, real-life problems. Seriously. This was beyond a waste of time. Martin, please grow up.

Wow!,...Yet another very UNWARRANTED ridiculous BOI "witch-hunt" thread mentioning Jim Godfrey as an alleged "bad guy", when I would have felt the exact same way Jim did when PayPal claimed there was no such account address when Jim payed promptly in the first place!!!

Don Soderberg's post echo's my exact feeling on this needless thread that has now most certainly tarnished his great reputation.

Martin,.....I sure as HELL hope that you and everyone else reading this thread fully understands about having good judgement and self-control BEFORE they cruicify someone on the BOI. As was already mentioned, Just like this BOI, when a bullet it fired from the barrel of a gun by someone that is far too quick in firing it, there is no running ahead of the bullet and catching it as if nothing ever happened. The bullet will ALWAYS strike wherever it happened to be pointed at without any remorse(in this case, it was certainly Jim Godfrey you needlessly hit).

Out of ALL of the many countless people I know in this herp hobby, Jim is one of THE most easy-going, honest, un-selfish and trusted people I know of....period!

All I can say is you really jumped the proverbial gun with this ridiculous post in a big way man!

I just hope more of the people actually read some of this thoroughly instead of just glancing up and seeing his name mentioned here in a negative light as you have prematurely done because of your own sill-ass mistake of not making absolutely CERTAIN that the very important account info was posted correctly in the first place!!!.

See, that is the very same reason I VERY THOROUGLY look over and make absolutely certain the shipping address information for customers is correct BEFORE I ship out any animals out to them, so problems such as this can be AVOIDED!!!!!

I apologize for what you have taken as slander. You are right, I was out of line for speculating about your financial situation and should have kept this thread as factual as possible. If I could edit it out I would. I'll admit I'm a bit of a hot head.

That being said, I find it frustrating that you haven't replied to the PMs I've sent you in the past few days, but as soon as I send you a PM notifying you of this thread you respond to the thread within an hour. I felt that you were avoiding me and that is what upset me. I wanted to know whether you wanted the snake as soon as possible so that I could offer it to the runner up if you didn't. I never felt like you clarified that question and have since your cancelation more than a week ago gotten more and more frustrated at the lack of clear communication.

Now that you've responded and I've cooled off a bit I see that I let the situation escalate in my head.

Anyway, I've said my peace. I still feel that you could have made more of an effort to clarify whether you wanted the snake or not. But again, your lack of communication did not merit the irrelevant and immature comments I've made about you in this thread. I apologize.

HI guys,

After I posted my last post here I restated my apology in a PM to Jim. He graciously accepted my apology and we had a few PMs back and forth to try and work something out as he still wanted the snake in question. Unfortunately the snake was, by that time, promised to the second runner up in the auction so I offered Jim another snake which was comparable to the first one, only female. Unfortunately he already had a female.

What I'm trying to say is that I am very grateful that Jim was as nice as he was after I posted this thread. I am indeed very sorry that I posted this thread, not only because of the irrelevant and inappropriate remarks I made in the heat of the moment, but also because I allowed myself to get worked up over something that wasn't at all a big deal, and posted it on the BOI. It was a stupid and thoughtless mistake, and I'll be the last to defend my actions.

I see some people posting here are angry, which I understand, but I ask that you, before posting more angry and offensive (@Kevin Gerard Maxwell) comments, consider the fact that I regret this thread and am not inclined to repeat the mistake. There's no need to beat me over the head with comments and advice that I've already reflected on and internalized.

Take it easy guys, if Jim can forgive the man, we certainly should not still be condemning him. Was he hasty in his decision to post a bad guy BOI? I believe yes. Should this be an inquiry thread from the start? I believe yes.
But can he take back what he's done? No, but I believe if he could, he would. I think the point has gotten across to Martin that he's made a poor choice. But everyone makes mistakes. He's apologized. And how can you tell by a typed computer message if someone is really sorry? I've been studying psych for awhile now and still mis interpret emotions in emails and texts.
Martin - don't let ur self proclaimed hot head allow you to jump the gun in matters such as these. But for what its worth, I believe you're sorry.

And Kevin - comeon, I know you strongly disagree with what Martin did but I really think your going a bit overboard here. If I was Martin, I'd wonder why you took what happened so personal as well. If you have a personal issue with Martin, then you should pm him about it. But posting your pm's on here I feel is inappropriate. If you feel your being harassed or threatened, report him. But posting your personal correspondence on this thread while failing to reply to any of martins messages to you privately is not making me think any less of Martin - it's making me think that you are out to push his buttons and inflame the situation more.
