    In short, DON'T! Email notices are to ONLY alert you of a reply to your private message or your ad on this site. Replying to the email just wastes your time as it goes NOWHERE, and probably pisses off the person you thought you replied to when they think you just ignored them. So instead of complaining to me about your messages not being replied to from this site via email, please READ that email notice that plainly states what you need to do in order to reply to who you are trying to converse with.

    Google Adsense ad revenue for December, 2025 was just $30 over the cost of the lease for the server running this site. So, in effect, the money providing the incentive for me to continue running this site is coming SOLELY from the paid memberships and sponsorships here. Which honestly ain't much....

First let me say that I have surfed this website for a while now, but never posted. I never thought that I would post a "bad guy" report on anyone, because until now I have only had good experiences with everyone that I have dealt with in the reptile industry. But I feel that I must warn people about this guy before he does the same thing to you. My opinion, dont even waste your time with this guy.
Jim Kilker of JFK Dragons posted an ad on KS the first of January wanting 50 lots of normal bearded dragons. I replied to his ad saying that we would have a constant supply of dragons at least up until late march or april. He called the next day and seemed very interested. He said that he would take 50 lots every 3 weeks. We agreed on the price, and talked about shipping. He said that he would send payment and to ship 50 dragons the following Monday. By Sunday, I never received payment and I kept calling leaving voice mails. I emailed him and told him that the payment was not received, and that we needed to talk as we were scheduled to ship the next day. He never returned my phone call, but emailed to say that he sent the check, and I should receive it the following couple of days. I waited, no check. He still has not contacted me. So basically, he thought that I would be dumb enough to ship the animals before a payment - and he would get 50 free bearded dragons.
After sending him the following email, he has yet to contact me anymore, and the money is still not here. Watch out for this guy ! !

Jim,

I have left messages on your home and cell phone asking you to call us. We will not ship unless we talk to you the day before and confirm that “all is good” and you will be home to sign for the package. Also we never confirmed how to handle shipping. We have been seeing the rainy weather in California and were not sure if that was the reason for you not returning the phone calls. I talked to you last Tuesday (4th), and you said that you were sending out the check. We still have not received the check and as of today (Wednesday 12th) the beardeds have been sold. If we receive your payment we can send it back to you, or you can wait until the next bunch is ready. Feel free to give us a call.

I'm sure it's very aggravating, but unfortunately this happens alot. :( Sorry you had to waste your time on it.
 
BRIAN, the fact that he did not have the courtesy

to respond, does not make him a bad guy! Lousy business practices yes, a bad guy because he changed his mind , no!

Common courtesy and a simple email on his part could have ended this amiacably, but their are allot of people out their who do not know how to conduct themselves in the easiest of transactions and find it a better mode to ignore you then contact you. Even if they changed their mind or did not realize the monies involved may be more than they bargained for the become communication-less.

This should provide you with a better method for dealing with potential customers in the future. 1. Do not pursue the sale unless you have the cash in hand, and secondly be prepared for worse than what you just experienced.
Thanks for the heads up on this guy, but this is really not a bad guy post, but rather someone who backed out of verbal deal, and just did not have the courtesy to advise you so.

for everytime their was a "back out" an arrangement to buy. But verbal acknowledgements are only worth the paper their written on!

Until you have money in the hand or some other form of assurance, nothing has been consummated, nothing has been lost, and the only thing wasted is time. Its unfortunate, but people do have a right to change their mind, they are under no obligation to advise otherwise, and in many instances , dont care! Its not the right thing to do, but it occurs more often than many people expect. Even so, they may come back in the near future, and the door still has to be kept open. So to take this to the BOI as an injured party is in my opinion, unnecessary. We cannot start posting threads because our feelings were hurt because someone did not follow through with a potential buy.
 
As far as I am concerned he is a bad guy. He emailed me twice asking did I receive the money? Implying that he had ALREADY sent the money. He is a liar, and tried to con me out of my dragons. But better than that, the moment after I posted this ad I found a thread about this guy. Do a search on Jim Kilker or Jimmy Kilker on here. You will find one of the most entertaining treads on this site about him ! ! ! It has about 45to 50 pages on it. I mean really, I chose to stay home and read it rather than going out to a movie - it is that good ! !
Do a search on Jim Kilker, judge for yourself. Make sure you pop some popcorn first. Me personally, I will never do business with him again. And I wish I would have used this site to inquire about him before all this. I have learned a lesson to be more cautious - thats all.

This guy has been doing this for a long time and it can be very frustrating.He also has a partner named Keith who emails under deadsexysurfr.I think that both of these guys are just young kids that like to look at pictures and waste your time.I have received tons of emails from these two over the years and have taken many pictures for them,but they never buy anything.
I'm not saying that their bad kids,but I think that they really need to get the hint.If people start avoiding them,then maybe they will finally get it and wake up.

I used to receive e-mails constanty from that other e-mail listed above. I stoped responding back. It always makes me wonder why someone would want 50 every couple of weeks when on there website it stats that they have over 300 in the incubator. Makes me wonder if those are really his that he breeds or in fact others that he buys from other people and is calling them "his" as though he bred them himself? Who knows? Shanell
