    In short, DON'T! Email notices are to ONLY alert you of a reply to your private message or your ad on this site. Replying to the email just wastes your time as it goes NOWHERE, and probably pisses off the person you thought you replied to when they think you just ignored them. So instead of complaining to me about your messages not being replied to from this site via email, please READ that email notice that plainly states what you need to do in order to reply to who you are trying to converse with.

    Google Adsense ad revenue for December, 2025 was just $30 over the cost of the lease for the server running this site. So, in effect, the money providing the incentive for me to continue running this site is coming SOLELY from the paid memberships and sponsorships here. Which honestly ain't much....

Oh dear wow just read the thread and I cannot believe the guy had the nerve to do this and is also selling the snakes. I too flagged the post hopefully it works. I am in michigan too and wish i could do something to help but i have no expertise whatsoever in snakes, so there isn't much i can do. Can you contact the police and state that he is selling essentially stolen property??
 
Have someone do a fake link up with the police there. Have them pretend to be buyers off CL and then have the cops scare the wits out of him and get the snakes back. I am sure someone in that area would be willing to help out!
 
Hi I am new to fauna and this is actually my first post. I am very sorry to hear about what happened, it takes a real a$&hole to knowingly scam some kids! And then to turn around and try to resell the stolen snakes on Craigslist is ridiculous! But someone has alerted the people of Michigan to his scamming ways! I went check out the ad to flag it and found a warning post! Just go to Detroit's Craigslist page and type Albino or any other word from his title and go under community and the warning will appear directly above his ad!
 
Maybe list it on "stolen911" site with a link? Call local LE and let inform them he's selling stolen property (and most likely doesn't have a permit to possess a venomous reptile in the state?)
 
I called the police department again to alert them to Jim selling Stolen property. Because it would be considered a civil mater, I would have to hire a lawyer and have them file an injunction against him to stop the sale. dig to the fact that i live in texas, it just wouldn't be cost effective to do so. It seems like laws are written to shield the guilty and not protect the innocent.
 
I do have one last ditch effort however. I called the romeo city ordinance department and was told that it is illegal to own venomous reptiles in the city limits of Romeo, the problem is i don't have an physical address for him. I talked to animal control and explained the situation and was told if the animals were confiscated, i could have them returned to me, as long as i could furnish proper permits where i lived(which I can). If anyone has the ability to break his cell # or skip trace this guy I would greatly appreciate it. I would be great if he got caught with these animals in a area where it was illegal to own them and I got my animals returned, wouldn't it?
 
I also called and left him at the # listed in his ad and asked him to return the stolen snakes to us, if anyone would like to do the same, we would appreciate it. Maybe a few calls from the herp community would pressure him into doing the right thing and returning our animals. Here is a copy of the craigslist ad.

Although I agree Jim Taliaferro is a really bad guy, as I've said all along, I don't want any harm to come to this guy. I just want him to stand up, be a MAN, and return the animals he stole from us. It's time for Little Jimbo to grow up.

I found that address earlier for him but wasn't sure if it was current because I found several.

If it is and you do a search there is a house cleaning business ran out of that address called "Joel's house Cleaning" with a landline phone number.

It is his, Got it directly from him when i was Texting him today. Tried coaxing it out of him about coming to get his sulcatas. He sent me a Picture of the sulcata with his son on it and the address
 
I sent a text to that number about the snakes listed on Craigslist.

He laughed it off and said he sold the snakes for $800 and that it was not his fault the snakes he sent you died.
 
Geez, this is so tragic. I love BPs, and seeing one in that condition is heartbreaking. :c

The poor little spider.. At least he had some fantastic care and knew love for his last days. I'm so sorry you and your kids had to deal with the disappointment of not being sent the correct snake and on top of that, being sent a snake that was in such poor condition. Kudos to you for being a kind-hearted individual and being willing to attempt to nurse the little guy back to health.

I hope and pray you can recover your Diamondbacks, or that even if you can't, someone more knowledgeable winds up with them. They are obviously in danger the longer he has them. I flagged the ad on Craigslist, I wish I could help you further. Here's to hoping the local law enforcement can find him and shut him down for keeping hots illegally; and that you can have them shipped back to you.
