i recently bought 6 boa's from jimmy jepperson, he told me that all boas were healthy an eating well, he gave me a price and i paid him, after a few weeks went by the cites paper work was finished, we set up a date to ship, but then jimmy started stalling , waiting to ship my boas the same day he was recieving longtails from glades herps, but apparently glades couldnt ship to his nearby airport, so poor little ole me had to pay extra money on top of the preset price so that i may pay for jimmy's trip to this other airport. when i tried to back out after finding out i had to pay an additional 1000 dollars plus i would have to drive to another airport as well which was a 16 hour run from here jimmy said he would not refund me. mind you in a previous correspodance he said i could back out if i wanted too, but then said differently when i actually wanted too. jimmy refuse to refund me, so instead of loosing a couple of thousand i kicked in the extra 1000.
a week later i found myself in montreal quebec, 16 hour drive from my home picking up the snakes that jimmy quotes as being high quality animals! back in my hotel room i opened the box to investigate my boas that i waiting 3 months to recieve!!
i was so disappointed in the boas, they were the woast shaped boas i have ever seen. three of them were so skinny that their bones stood out and they had absolutely no stored fat in their tails!! boas that were supposedly eating well!! when i got back home i emailed jimmy telling him my dissapointment and he wrote this back to me,
You wanted the snakes shipped and was very determined
getting them over, i did my best to please you and get
them shipped as soon as possible.
All 6 have fed here, just the bigger ones have been feeding
on adult mice and the smaller ones on pink rat pups.
The 3 smaller ones are not skinny, they are just smaller,
im sure you will get them going and that they will soon
be able to take adult mice aswell.
Im sorry you are not satisfied with the snakes.

and then after trying do everything to get them to feed, two weeks after they arrived two of them died, i wrote jimmy about their deaths and this is his reply,

If you just waited for the baby boas to start to feed at
your place and did not forcefeed them meanwhile they
have did of starvation. You wanted me to RUSH the
shipment and complained that i didnt send them sooner,
i did everything you told me to so please dont complain about
the deal now. They was all feeding here, or i wouldnt have
send them in the first place. Baby boas take some time to
gain size and get their fat stores full when they are small,
they looked ok and was perfectly healthy when i shipped them.
If they are dead i would say its your own fault because you
did not force feed them if that was required.

my fault!!! uhm, its my fault because i did not force feed them. mind you these are boas i bought from him that two weeks prior to their deaths live with him since the time of their births months prior.

yeah specializing in the finest quality boas that you have to force feed or they will die two weeks after you buy them!!!
anyways i had experts look over these boas and it was their opinion that the boas had not even eaten one meal since they were born. one was sent to lab an i should soon have the official results. but it is my fault because i did not force feed them. if some one claims to sell the finest quality boas, then they should back up their claims by selling animals that are in the finest health and are well fed , not ones that are bone skinny and die in two weeks!!!!
has jimmy made any effort to make a peaceful resolution to this, well its been over a week since i last wrote to him and i have heard didly squat from him!!!! so to all fair warning, before buying any animals from jimmy jepperson, try finding alternatives, like buying off of more reputable boa men such as, peter kahl, or ralph davis, or jeff ronnie, if you want quality locality specific animals, check out kevin from ectothermics, or vince russon from cutting edge herps, or even
gus rentfro from rio bravo reptiles!!! or if you live in europe go check out hermann stoeckl!!
