    In short, DON'T! Email notices are to ONLY alert you of a reply to your private message or your ad on this site. Replying to the email just wastes your time as it goes NOWHERE, and probably pisses off the person you thought you replied to when they think you just ignored them. So instead of complaining to me about your messages not being replied to from this site via email, please READ that email notice that plainly states what you need to do in order to reply to who you are trying to converse with.

    Yeah, I know. They are a pain in the butt. But they pay the bills to keep my server running. Just a fact of life, I am afraid.

    Want to get rid of them? Simple. Just become a Contributor level member or above and they will be gone. -> Please click HERE."

    Is that too much for me to ask of you to keep this site running? Well, sorry about that. I too wish I could get everything for free. But alas.....

    =====================

    Google Adsense ad revenue for December, 2025 was just $30 over the cost of the lease for the server running this site. So, in effect, the money providing the incentive for me to continue running this site is coming SOLELY from the paid memberships and sponsorships here. Which honestly ain't much....

Lots of people write bad checks. Good people then send you a good one. We wrote them a letter to notify them.........just in case the two letters from their bank notifying them was eaten by the dog......and heard nothing back. THATS WHAT PISSES US OFF.....NO RESPONSE....NO EXCUSE.....NO "I WILL PAY YOU SOON".......so here we are........to tell the world and let them explain in public. Oh, and by the way, we deposited the check twice. Check number 1337 date 11/05/2003 for $225........not much money......but it just sucks that jagbags dont pay their bills.

Tacky question but...

why didn't you post this sooner? The reason I say, and I may be wrong, but most banks will not honor a check that old, even if it were good, 6 months after it was written. That really sucks. Did you send them anything or did you hold shipment until the check cleared? If not, I would count my lucky stars as this thread could have read "These guys wrote me a bad check and stole my merchandise".

It was for their table at the Philly show last year. I waited because I thought they may just send payment. Its not really about the money........$225 is a slow night at the bar.........its principle.

Brian:

They stiffed us too on table fees at our Jan. 2004 show in White Plains.... I heard afterwards that Pat Kane was supposed to show up to help sell their animals- he was a no-show, as well!!

To the best of my knowledge they are out of business, and certainly will not ever be welcomed at our shows.

Actually a bank will honor a check

no matter how old it is. The exception would be gov't checks & some corp. checks that say "void after ___days". I found this out when a check for a car payment went through my account in August of last year. I had paid off the car in March, had the title & everything! So I called around to find out that the payment was actually the December (from the previous year!) payment, clearing in August!!!! The bank said the checks are good indefinately as long as the account is still open.
By the way, if Pat Kane is involved with this group ... kiss your money good-bye. He regularly scams people. See the Chris Zorra thread for more about his latest games.
