    In short, DON'T! Email notices are to ONLY alert you of a reply to your private message or your ad on this site. Replying to the email just wastes your time as it goes NOWHERE, and probably pisses off the person you thought you replied to when they think you just ignored them. So instead of complaining to me about your messages not being replied to from this site via email, please READ that email notice that plainly states what you need to do in order to reply to who you are trying to converse with.

    Google Adsense ad revenue for December, 2025 was just $30 over the cost of the lease for the server running this site. So, in effect, the money providing the incentive for me to continue running this site is coming SOLELY from the paid memberships and sponsorships here. Which honestly ain't much....

Bad Guy Joe Ramirez

Earnest, if you had read my posts and watched the video you would have seen that I did NOT feed the female at all. I did not request more snakes after the last one died. Seeing as how both snakes died I just wanted my money back. Not more snakes from Joe. Two deaths is to much of a coincidence.

Also, I did NOT get to give the snakes a good look over as Joe claims. He brought them to the shop after I told him not to. I had told him before that I would like to meet at his house. This way I would be able to get to look at them in good lighting and see how they were being kept. Instead he shows up at my work. I told him I couldn't buy them while on the clock, so I paid him after work in the parking lot and he gave me the snakes. I gave him the benefit of the doubt since we have a mutual friend. As far as my experience is concerned, if you watch my other youtube videos you will see that I have a female Tropidolaemus subannulatus that I've had for a few years now and they're suppose to be quite a bit more challenging than BCA. I also have BCC, BCI, Bogertophis subocularis, Sistrurus catenatus tergeminus, Crotalus lepidus klauberi, and Agkistrodon contortrix. I've been keeping herps for 17 years, and am currently pursing a degree in Zoology.

I don't care how many "sympathy votes" I get. Nobody wins. I lost $300, and now Joe has a negative video concerning him.

This has been MY experience with Joe. If all of his customers have had good experience with him, then let them come post Good Guy threads for him. Good for them, and him. As far as I'm concerned this is over.
 
1. i dont let strangers into my house. so basically what you are saying is that people can call a breeder and demand to see their collection. most will agree with me on this issue and if they dont its prolly cause they are friends with you..
2. the texts clearly state that you were ok buying them after you got out of work. (Read the texts again since you forgot)
3. you didnt ask about a warranty and i did not bring one up. so thats a my bad on both of us...even i had one it would not be 30 days
4. i dont know any breeder that gives a 30 warranty as you claim. as a matter of fact the calls i have received from other breeders result in asking me if youre on drugs.(not making that up)
5. the female boa was not bloated cause if it was. you would never purchased her or the pair. the female that you did not pic is still alive and well. she just ate the other day the appropriate sized rodent. its 12th feeding so far.
6. even though it was at night when you examined the boas before you purchased them. you held each female, one in each hand trying to decide which one to take. (we were directly under the parking lot light so you got a really good view of them)
7. you couldnt have given me the money faster.
8. you never contacted me the next day what so ever. the texts show the dates so you blake are a liar.
9. you claim that i'm in it for the money. if that were true i would not have let you have them at $150ea and they would prolly still be alive in my care or in a more experienced herpers care. breeding reptiles is a hobby for me. if i make money great, if not thats ok also.
10. you managed to kill those two snakes in the matter of 13-15 days. own up to it, hold yourself accountable for screwing it up and stop blaming me for your lack of knowledge..once they were in your care YOU and only YOU are responsible for their well being. PERIOD i HAVE NO CONTROL on HOW YOU KEEP YOUR REPTILES.
11. your experience and integrity or lack there of was brought to light when you. who claims to be a herper of 17 yrs. aided and advised in the purchase of two texas tortoises (a reptile species that is illegal to keep) that were to be sold at the pet shop you work at. so which is it? are you a knowledgeable herper of 17 yrs, or are you just not as smart as you think you are? cause even my 9 yr old can tell the difference between a russian tortoise and a texas tortoise...good day to you, blake the boa killer. :dgrin:
 
Sorry to hear your snakes died Blake. Not sure what happened with yours. I got a pair from Joe a few days after you did. Mine are both still fine. Joe and I were out herping and he mentioned to me you bought a pair from him so I decided to get a pair also. Didn't you actually go and pick out the snakes yourself? I did. I have seen all his snakes and didn't see any signs of any sick snakes. He has a very nice setup inside his house. Again sorry to hear about yours though. It was sad watching the video of the snake dieing. I haven't seen you out herping lately. Are you still taking lots of photos. I met you that night when we were looking for the Northern Cat Eye that was hit and I removed it from the road. You wanted to photo it so we were trying to find it again, but never could. I understand how you are upset, but maybe you reacted hasty blamming Joe for selling sick snakes. I honestly don't think he would do that on purpose. Did you ever get them checked by a vet or get a necropsy done?
