I was wondering if anyone has dealt with or heard of this individual. He says his name is John Lewis and also goes by hisss_1 and Corallus_caninus is his paypal address. I was wondering what are you buying from him?? It wouldnt happen to be a 2 year old female woma? If so someone else won the auction for it he had on reptibid, if he really had it at all. The guys email address is [email protected]. I would have kept bidding on the item but I offered to pay with a money order to be dropped off by a DHL driver and he would have picked up the package righ then but John Lewis refused this which I found fishy so be careful. Im not saying hes a crok but it didnt seem right to me.

I was just ripped off on reptibid.com by a guy who used a fake name, but his email addy is [email protected] Be warned, he waits for your money to clear and then just dissapears.

I contacted the special investigation unit in Wichita (thanks Jeremiah) and he said ALL the information this slime ball gave out to bidders is fake. Anyone who was ripped off (or almost like me) should contact Ralph Clark [email protected] and give him any details you have. Let's nail this guy.

Chuck, I think you should edit your last post and remove that individuals address and phone number. The reason I say this is I have just received an address for "John Lewis" that does not match the one posted at all. Plus I feel we shouldn't be posting anyone's address and phone number in a case such as this until we have proof it is indeed their address. In a case such as this if the address you have posted is incorrect it could be considered slander.
I have just contacted the Wichita special investigation unit with all the info I have gathered. E-mail addresses, IP addresses, physical addresses and everything else I could think of. When I
hear any news I will make sure to post it. I will also post the address and phone number for the individual once I have proof it's for the correct person and not just another fraudulent lie.
I also want to mention that if the address I have just obtained our search will be leaving Kansas all together. It will also not be located in GA, the supposed residence of Treeboa. When the information is authenticated I will post the surprise state for all to see.

My husband (maddhatter12369) and I got ripped off by this guy, too. I have been able to get a different address for him (a shipping address!), which I won't post here. If you want the information we have, e-mail us at [email protected] and we will pass along what we have.
 
"Hunting down scum" part II

With recently aquired information, from Angie, Todd and another undisclosed source, I have come to find out that this "John Lewis" character does not live in Wichita, or even Kansas for that matter. This information has been backed up by the support staff at Paypal. Although Paypal could not release any of this individuals account information to me they did verify that he is NOT in Kansas.

With that in mind I have once again contacted the special investigation unit of the Wichita police department. Paypal will release all account information to them. I have requested Wichita do this and then help point me in the right direction of who to contact next. Once I have that information it will be posted here. After the information has been posted I urge all of those who have been taken by the person to contact the posted authorities.

All I can say is, look out Mr. "Lewis", here I come

I, too, have contacted the Wichita police department. I got about 2 1/2 hours of sleep last night because I was steaming mad about this. (We were taken for $435 - you can imagine how ticked we are!) I e-mailed the Wichita PD about 1:00 or 2:00 this morning. I also asked them to let us know what steps we need to take next.

Podunk, it sounds like you and my husband Todd are going to be "John"'s worst nightmare. Todd is, literally, one of THOSE Hatfields, as the Hatfield and McCoy feud, so he is a feuding kind of guy. Todd is not intimidated by anyone or anything; if he's your friend, he's got your back. If you become his enemy, God help you. I've only seen a mild version of his temper a time or two, and it scares me. He definitely has the Hatfield blood in him. He e-mailed "John" yesterday and told him that he had a choice of either sending the snakes or refunding his money, and if he does neither, that Todd would hunt him down, even if it takes years, and he's dead serious. He isn't in the snake business to play games.

YOU DON'T MESS WITH A HATFIELD - THERE WILL BE HE** TO PAY!

me again about John Lewis

I just looked at Reptibid and there is a new negative post for hisss. It looks like there is someone else in addition to all of us that has had a problem with "John." This one is from a member who goes by Gyrobee - he posted negative feedback regarding a $35 Dutch auction for 5 geckos. Is Gyrobee the ID for anyone who has posted their problem here on Fauna?
 
FYI

I found someone who SOLD something to "Treeboas" and asked the person to view this thread. Since he shipped something TO this guy, I am hoping he will have an accurate address for the guy.

Also, I looked into this a little and the only other clue I found was on an auction that "Treeboas" had listed for a Woma a couple weeks ago. Although the photo may have been (probably was) stolen, I wanted to give you guys the info I found. The newspaper in the photo that the snake was laying on had a headline I could read. I found out that the newspaper under the snake was out of Albany, NY. The paper is called The Sylva Herald and it was the 06/06/2002 edition. If anyone needs the info on how I found this out you can contact me directly. As I said though, the photo was probably not his.

Hope this may help some. I have asked they person who sent an item to "Treeboas" to contact the person who started this thread with any info they may have.

I appreciate your effort, and time, looking into that newspaper. Unfortunately it was not his picture, he states that right in the Q&A section on that auction. I do wish it was true though, I'm just outside Albany and would love to make a personal apperance on his doorstep. Not to mention the fact that when a couple "brothers" and a Redneck get together they can have quite a good time with an unsuspecting individual. wink, wink, nudge, nudge.
