    Google Adsense ad revenue for December, 2025 was just $30 over the cost of the lease for the server running this site. So, in effect, the money providing the incentive for me to continue running this site is coming SOLELY from the paid memberships and sponsorships here. Which honestly ain't much....

John, with all due respect - you really don't need others to make you look bad - your own behavior here has done a fine job of that.

You may have some very nice animals, but when someone knows nothing about you but how you present yourself here - and how you handle criticisms and critiques, then if they are like me, they're going to pass. I certainly want the ENTIRE experience to be flawless - not just the quality of the animals, but working with a business man who behaves like a business man and doesn't take things so personally if something goes wrong - and it's just the nature of the business that some thing may go wrong with a transaction. How you choose to handle that is the measure of the man (or woman in my case).

I've got no ax to grind with you, I'm just telling you from where I sit, the way that you portray yourself here is going to go a long way in your success or failure in this business.

Start looking at yourself and be gracious in the fact that may be there are some things that you can improve on, on how you choose to conduct business, and don't look for boogey men behind every tree or bush and assume that they are out to get you.

I have said nearly identical things through PMs with Mr. Perkins. I honestly hope that one day he chooses to take these constructive criticisms to heart - it would certainly help his buisiness and reputation.

Now please... .tell me where the disrespect was? He is entitled to his opinion just like you are. In fact you had a mod warn you about your first post that I quoted in that thread.... so if anything... you were disrespectful to that thread.

How is it that you think iraqvet shouldnt be here because he is just reading about herps? How is that not disrespectful?

As you say... there is alot of levels of respect... but until you give some... you can bet you wont get any.
 
That was a good example you showed of John and his way of thinking Kevin....Other then being one of the more disprespectful people on here John,I really dont have a reason to argue with you...You should understand that people dont really take to someone who feels like they have the right to wig out on whoever,whenever..Thats not how it works...And making bogus claims about people is frowned upon here as well..You should learn to just relax before you post,and think hard about what you wanna say,in the most profesional matter possable..And again,trust me,I would love to own a million herps right now,but I cant..That will change one day hopfully sooner then later...Until then,learning more cant hurt..
 
I ordered five garter snakes (one adult melanistic and four hatchling granites) and a melanistic hognose from John Perkins last week. Although I've house snakes for over ten years, I've never had a garter snake. I asked John some questions and he poured forth a lot of information so I would be more comfortable ... and I had already ordered the snakes, so he didn't need to give me that much of his time. The melanistic garter and hognose are beautiful, healthy snakes and I'm very pleased with my sale. I'll buy from geckoman2 again if he is selling something I am looking for!

I'm glad to see he's moving in the right direction. However first impressions are everything and I believe he lost quite a few potential customers with his standoffish attitude. Congrats on the new snakes.

I had a good deal with John this last week.
I made my order and with in 30 minutes of me making my paypal payment he had confirmed my order, set up the shipment and provided me my tracking number. He was totally on top of it. He even took additional photos of the snakes after payment was made and sent those to me probably with in an hour of the paypal payment. My snakes arrived problem free and the whole deal was one of the smoothest, easiest transactions I have had in quite some time. I have talked with John several times throughout the week and he was nothing but courteous and professional the entire time. I look forward working on more deals with him.
