    In short, DON'T! Email notices are to ONLY alert you of a reply to your private message or your ad on this site. Replying to the email just wastes your time as it goes NOWHERE, and probably pisses off the person you thought you replied to when they think you just ignored them. So instead of complaining to me about your messages not being replied to from this site via email, please READ that email notice that plainly states what you need to do in order to reply to who you are trying to converse with.

    Google Adsense ad revenue for December, 2025 was just $30 over the cost of the lease for the server running this site. So, in effect, the money providing the incentive for me to continue running this site is coming SOLELY from the paid memberships and sponsorships here. Which honestly ain't much....

Bad Guy John Wilson [email protected] SCAM

It sure seems like pattern Robert, for sure! Maybe they target certain hobbies, scam everyone then move on to another one? I'm glad we have the BOI.

I feel bad now. i got both emails back to back (from "john" and the from the other member). I don't believe the other email is a scam please disregard it.

This guy just contacted me through email and text, his number is 650-825-5729. In the email he is John Wilson, but in text he is Fred. Lol Anyway would love to see everyone give him a call about 1am or 2am. The email was the exact same response going on business etc. will pay an extra $40.00 and so on.
 
This is crazy. I got the same email from the same address for multiple listings I had. Same scam, same email, same everything. And then today he mixed it up with a different email.

If this is all because I included my email address in my ad post, I will not being doing that anymore.
 
He contacted me via PM and I replied via email which led to similar exchanges as to what everyone here has been posting. He indeed sent a Cashier's Check or MO for $750 instead of $120 and tried to pull the whole "my assistant made a mistake but just send me the difference". I was ready for this thanks to this thread so I told him to take a hike and I was keeping his MO/Check. He replied with "what do you mean?" And I sent him a link to this thread. So he may start changing names and emails addresses now.
