• Responding to email notices you receive.
    **************************************************
In short, DON'T! Email notices are to ONLY alert you of a reply to your private message or your ad on this site. Replying to the email just wastes your time as it goes NOWHERE, and probably pisses off the person you thought you replied to when they think you just ignored them. So instead of complaining to me about your messages not being replied to from this site via email, please READ that email notice that plainly states what you need to do in order to reply to who you are trying to converse with.

Yeah, I know. They are a pain in the butt. But they pay the bills to keep my server running. Just a fact of life, I am afraid.

Want to get rid of them? Simple. Just become a Contributor level member or above and they will be gone. -> Please click HERE."

Is that too much for me to ask of you to keep this site running? Well, sorry about that. I too wish I could get everything for free. But alas.....

    Addendum: 01/10/2026
    =====================

Google Adsense ad revenue for December, 2025 was just $30 over the cost of the lease for the server running this site. So, in effect, the money providing the incentive for me to continue running this site is coming SOLELY from the paid memberships and sponsorships here. Which honestly ain't much....

So I had him email me for some frozen feeders and I told him total. He said he’d have assistant send money order. Than got a panic email saying they send me to much money and the assistant got the people mixed up.
I got the check for $2500 today. Seems fishy?

So if anyone could verify if they know that name. Here’s his email. [email protected]
And the assistants name is Laura Van from Dale, IN.

Try sending him an email and tell him that's OK, you got the mice orders mixed up too, and he may be getting 5000 mice tomorrow.
It's fun to play around with these people.

Fixed it for you!

Or just tell him you never got the check and please send another... and another... and another. Waste their time.

Yeah trust nothing.
Just a few days I got an email from my mom that was titled “please help”
It’s content said Andy could you do me a favor?
I replied yes mom anything you need.
Got another email saying she needs a short term loan for $2,850 to cover a medical bill and could pay me back as soon as she transferred some funds.
My mom will be 80years old in a couple weeks, doing better than most and has no financial needs.
So I call her and she was totally devisated.
Somebody hacked her and sent this (or a similar) message to all of her contacts.
All her neighbors, all her family, her camera club buddies, her senior citizen club members and everybody she knew.
She feels so embarrassed and this can’t be good for her health.
This took a toll.
I would really like to pay this person back.
Sorry for the rant.
Andy

Let her know it isn't uncommon, and there's no need to be embarrassed. I've had such emails from the addresses of more than one professional colleague telling me they are at meetings overseas, had their wallets stolen, and can I help with airfare, etc. It's no reflection on her - it's just hackers chancing that they'll hit people who haven't seen one of these before, but it sounds very credible. Glad you caught it.
