In short, DON'T! Email notices are to ONLY alert you of a reply to your private message or your ad on this site. Replying to the email just wastes your time as it goes NOWHERE, and probably pisses off the person you thought you replied to when they think you just ignored them. So instead of complaining to me about your messages not being replied to from this site via email, please READ that email notice that plainly states what you need to do in order to reply to who you are trying to converse with.

Yeah, I know. They are a pain in the butt. But they pay the bills to keep my server running. Just a fact of life, I am afraid.

Want to get rid of them? Simple. Just become a Contributor level member or above and they will be gone. -> Please click HERE."

Is that too much for me to ask of you to keep this site running? Well, sorry about that. I too wish I could get everything for free. But alas.....

Google Adsense ad revenue for December, 2025 was just $30 over the cost of the lease for the server running this site. So, in effect, the money providing the incentive for me to continue running this site is coming SOLELY from the paid memberships and sponsorships here. Which honestly ain't much....

Just wanted to let everyone know that Jon from Next World Exotics is a great guy. I just bought a Green Tree Python from him and it arrived today. There was a big problem with the shipping company but Jon was there right along with me and called four or five times to see what was going on with the snake. We were both very relieved when the snake finally arrived. The GTP is absolutly amazing. I would without a doubt do buisness with Jon again.

Agreed!

I bought the pair of striped Centralian pythons from Jon for $1k, and they are awesome. I can be pretty picky with who I am willing to spend such a large amount of cash with, but the deal was excellent for an adult pair (considering babies can easily go for that), and he is just a great guy to have a conversation with. They've both eaten for me twice now, and I'm looking forward to hopefully breeding them this coming season. I would not hesitate to deal with Jon again.

You should get them checked out by a vet as soon as possible. Jon brokers snakes and doesn't keep them for very long or get them checked out by a vet. They come from different sources, sometimes in large trade lots, etc.

I've purchased 7 snakes from him, plus he gave me 2 free ones, and all but 3 of them died. I'm not saying that I'm blaming Jon...just that healthy snakes should last a lot longer than 6 months and I lost a heck of a lot of money that I couldn't afford to lose.

Problem animals:

1.1 FWC's developed puffs of skin between the scales just after I received them and a couple months later. I still don't know what that was...I had never seen anything like it and just the thought still freaks me out.

1.1 gray banded kings -female was a purchase but the male was free- The female died of unknown causes 5-6 months after she got here. One day she looked fine, the next day dead. The male had problems when Jon sent him to me and after a couple trips to the vet I couldn't save him. I knew he was in bad shape but I did my best.

.1 egyptian ratsnake
The female was a problem eater. She wouldn't eat for me. Jon offered to find a replacement but then she ate for me...once. After that, Jon wasn't returning my phone calls.

Not problem animals:

1.1 False Water Cobras (No longer have male)
.1 Psammophis
1. Egyptian Ratsnake (I gave him away because I didn't have his mate anymore.)

I told Jon about some of the problems but he stopped calling back so he doesn't know about some others. He also promised to send me some deworming meds, which never came. He means well but he's rather forgetful.

I used to really like Jon, which is why I kept buying animals from him but then he stopped calling me back or returning email. I posted here, in the missing person's forum, and he did write me a pm promising to call me but that was last March. A half a year later, I'm still waiting for that phone call. Now, to put it lightly, I'm rather annoyed. But, I digress...I'm just trying to recommend that you get your new animals checked out thoroughly.

Sybella, glad you got to talk to him. Sometimes it takes things like this to really jog a person's memory. I'm not worried about my Centralians because, 1.) they seem perfectly healthy after a week in my care, and 2.) there is no way they can be w.c. as nothing from mainland Australia is, of course, allowed out. Your problem with the FWCs sounds like something I've had happen to both the FWCs I used to keep, as well as a few real cobra species. It usually happened when the snakes spilled their water bowls and sat on wet or dirty newspaper or mulch for a day or two. I believe these are simple water blisters, which are easily remedied by ensuring the snakes can't tip the water bowls, cages are checked often, and proper humidity protocols are in place for good husbandry. Don't get me wrong here, I'm not in the slightest way trying to imply that your husbandry is bad, as I know you care a great deal for your animals, but I've had it happen to me with a number of different individuals within the timespan of a day if I didn't catch a spilled water or was away for a day or more. In all cases, the problem was solved in the above manners.

I'm really sorry to hear about the misfortune you've had with those animals, and I'm grateful for the heads up, but I really believe I received quality animals from Jon. However, I will keep a very close eye on them in the coming weeks/months, and will update my posts here accordingly if anything should change.

Hi Chance! :) Water blisters was the first thing I had thought of too but this definitely was not it. My retic had those blister-pockets of infection years ago and I remember it distinctly. I wish it would have been that so that I could have dealt with it instead of losing the snakes. :(

This was pea-sized puffs of skin, with no inflamation, obvious wounds, puss, fluid or anything. It looked like little tuffs of skin between the scales. At first, it just showed up in the first 8 inches or so of the body, in the neck region, then I started to see it elsewhere.

Alas, it's too late now but I really wish I had gotten a necropsy done so I'd know what it was. Luckily, my other FWCs didn't get it. Just that smaller pair that were housed together that I got at the same time from Jon.

Oh, and by the way, Jon said that he doesn't broker or import WCs anymore. He only deals with high end animals from reputable breeders so my warning wasn't necessary. ;)

Jon is a class act

I just bought 0.2 pastel balls from him. One Grazaini and one Bell. Both are gorgeous and feeding great. Jon called me a few minutes ago to follow up and make sure I was please with my purchase and things were going well. I appreciate the follow up. It makes a buyer feel like you bought from a caring and knowledgable person and not a meat shop. I would do business with him again anytime. He has my recommendation for being honest, fair, and a great communicator through out the transaction. Great job Jon and thanks. David Boggs
