In short, DON'T! Email notices are to ONLY alert you of a reply to your private message or your ad on this site. Replying to the email just wastes your time as it goes NOWHERE, and probably pisses off the person you thought you replied to when they think you just ignored them. So instead of complaining to me about your messages not being replied to from this site via email, please READ that email notice that plainly states what you need to do in order to reply to who you are trying to converse with.

Yeah, I know. They are a pain in the butt. But they pay the bills to keep my server running. Just a fact of life, I am afraid.

Want to get rid of them? Simple. Just become a Contributor level member or above and they will be gone. -> Please click HERE."

Is that too much for me to ask of you to keep this site running? Well, sorry about that. I too wish I could get everything for free. But alas.....

    =====================

Google Adsense ad revenue for December, 2025 was just $30 over the cost of the lease for the server running this site. So, in effect, the money providing the incentive for me to continue running this site is coming SOLELY from the paid memberships and sponsorships here. Which honestly ain't much....

Bad Guy Jon Garcia, poor transaction.

I do not see any mites or any mite feces on the snake, and when an Albino has mites, it is pretty obvious.

Whoever said mites are ok, just deal with it, is an #$$%. Mites transmit disease, suck blood from your animals, can cause a snake to become anemic, and are just a slap in the face to the person you send a mite invested snake to.

I think the poster who mentioned "mites happen" ment more along the lines of they aren't pleasant, but it happens so treat it an move on. At least that is how I took the post. I agree with you David that mites are certainly something you do not want in your collection. And honestly, I found the accusation of mites from Jon even more ridiculous than the eye issue. After learning my lesson about 7 years ago with bringing in new animals carrying a little extra, there is a strict quarantine procedure on anything coming into my collection. Animals are kept in a seperate room, cleaned and fed last, and treated for mites whether believed to have them or not. They are kept on white paper towels, which are scanned with a magnifying glass at each cleaning in a search for mites, living or dead. So in short, you are correct as is everyone else looking at the pictures... the snake did not and does not have mites, nor does any of my collection.

Thanks,
Clint Bartley

I have worked with Clint before, stand up guy. Wouldn't hesitate to deal with him again. He is very strict concerning his snakes husbandry and well being, he is a rare breed in our industry. A+!

I know better than this due to price but if that IS a female box her up and ship her to me Clint! To the Jon next time your ready to purchase a reptile remember that not only do you need to be able to afford the animal but also the VET CARE that it possibly could and does need! What would you have done if it was a aeller that ACCTUALLY sent you a snake with its eye hanging out and said DEAL WITH IT? After readin g this I know I personally wouldn't sell you a puppet and not many others here will either so becaregfull whom you buy from your karma just might smack you in the face!

Clint MAD respect for handling this so calm and collected, way to go man!

Clint,

Thank you for posting this. It is very interesting to see how this turned out. It has helped me a lot, and I appreciate it. :)

To the Seller.... you have went above and beyond in the way you handled things... way above and beyond. I'd do business with you any day.

To the buyer.... You lost out on a wonderful animal. And let you cut you off with... well then you buy it. I already have an albino and dont need another one.... but I know who not to sell my babies too

That animal looks 100% fine to me... Jon, why on earth should the seller pay return shipping due to your lack of herp knowledge when there is not one person here that agrees with any of your complaints?? And, asking $5 for tape is insane!! Take your $300 and be happy with that.

Just by reading jons emails Im sure everyone can tell he is a ratard. The animal in question is a beautiful specimen and fairly priced I might add. Keep up the good work and you handled the situation very well....As for jon $350 while unemployed and you have other snakes, I feel sorry for your collection. If 7 bucks is a lot of money how do you feed your snakes may I ask..I think your eyes need checking, you should be thankful that Bartley Reptiles paid for the reshipping, they dont owe you anything.

I don't think I've ever laughed so hard in my life..... EVER!!! Clint, your a saint in my eyes. I have don't business with clint recently and received an outstanding pewter het pied male. He eats well, breeds well and is thriving in my collection. And btw Clint, I'm still interested in some pastel het pied females with size if they become available. Thanks again and to the buyer, you truely are an idiot. That is all.

Derek

This is my first time posting on the BOI, but I just had to say- Clint, if I had $350.00 just lying around I would absolutely take that gorgeous little albino guy. I see no problems whatsoever with him and I AM in the market for an albino. I just can't afford him right now. I can also say to Jon- if you have been in the business for 20 years and $350.00 is the most you have spent on a snake you are indeed misguided about prices. I bought a 100% het pied female hatchling from Alan Bosch for $550.00 three years ago. If you are unemployed there is no shame in that, but trying to drag someone's reputation through the mud is indeed shameful!

Again Clint, great work and I LOVE that guy. When my money situation is better- you have a new customer!!!!!

Ok i haven't read this whole thread but I read a few pages and I don't know if it has been mentioned but I don't know if you have ever removed an eye cap and they actually go back into the eye some. You got a steal but something went wrong. Lost your job, unplanned expenses, etc. You got $50 back more then you deserved. I would defiantly not sell to you because I would be worried my snakes wouldn't be as perfect as you are......
