    In short, DON'T! Email notices are to ONLY alert you of a reply to your private message or your ad on this site. Replying to the email just wastes your time as it goes NOWHERE, and probably pisses off the person you thought you replied to when they think you just ignored them. So instead of complaining to me about your messages not being replied to from this site via email, please READ that email notice that plainly states what you need to do in order to reply to who you are trying to converse with.

    Google Adsense ad revenue for December, 2025 was just $30 over the cost of the lease for the server running this site. So, in effect, the money providing the incentive for me to continue running this site is coming SOLELY from the paid memberships and sponsorships here. Which honestly ain't much....

Hi,
I am a small time breeder that had some chondros for sale. Jortiz2244 said that he wanted to purchase a female from me and after discussing the deal we agreed he would send a deposit (which he did) and then would send the rest of the money within 2 months. That was 3 1/2 months ago. I am trying to get ahold of him to honor our deal however he is not responding. Does anyone out there know where he is, or do you have contact info. I really don't want to sell the GTP to someone else when a deposit has been made but honestly I cant get a response to John. Anyone with contact info please let me know. I am concerned about having some kind of conflict on the internet and then having Jortizz2244 say something bad about me when I really am trying to honor our deal.
John if you are out there please respond to me I want to make sure your happy and my baby is taken care of, if you don't want her any more fine, just please let me know.

I do not have any current contact info but do know that John has failed to follow through on at least one previous snake purchase in the past. I will send a link to this thread to person that had similar experience and let him post first hand his own first hand experience.

At this point since he has failed to contact you even asking for more time to pay or explain slow pay off that I would consider his deposit is yours to keep and that he forfeits any claim to this snake. Good luck and kudos for trying to do the right thing.
 
Send him a polite email that states he has3 days to respond and 10 days to complete the transaction. If he does not respond, consider the deposit yours. You can only be expected to do so much

:iagree: You seem to have gone above and beyond to try to contact and resolve the deal. I would have to say the same as Suncoast.. Notify him and give him a deadline to contact you and if he doesn't then consider the deposit yours and resell the animal. If he then contacts you reguarding the animal after you have sold it then you can offer to use the deposit towards something else you have to offer but I wouldn't give the deposit back.

Most sellers wouldn't have waited this long and would have gone about this in a less polite manner so you've done the right thing.

This is why i have written up contracts that state 3 months max payment plans when putting down a NON Refundable deposit. If they are inconsistent with payments and try to drag it out i will refund the money minus deposit.

If no other money was collected but his deposit, i would tell him like said before one week left to pay it off or you will relist and keep the deposit.
 
I agree with everyone else... its not your job to hunt him down after he is a month and a half behind on paying off the animal. Granted I would try and get a hold of him but after several attemps after being "past due" its time to find the animal a good home!

Well, thank you all for responding, the e-mail is sent. If anyone reads this within 7 days let John know I will still honor our deal, however after that, I will be moving on.
