I’m posting this to warn others about a deeply unprofessional and manipulative exchange I had with Jose Villagomez, username SellerJ (phone: 779-227-7010), after I reached out to inquire about a ball python he had listed.
Although his ad explicitly stated he was open to rehoming individual snakes to serious, knowledgeable buyers, the tone shifted dramatically when I couldn’t take the entire group or commit to immediate purchase. I communicated respectfully, clearly, and honestly about my interest and limitations, but was met with increasing hostility.
Over the course of the conversation, he:

- He responded with sarcasm, guilt trips, and condescension when I respectfully communicated my interest in purchasing a single animal within a realistic and upfront budget.
- He attempted to guilt me for not taking his entire group of snakes, despite his ad stating that individual rehoming to serious keepers was acceptable.
- When I set clear boundaries, including a short waiting period before I could complete a purchase, he repeatedly questioned my honesty and implied malicious intent without cause.
- After I stepped away from the conversation due to his escalating tone, he sent unsolicited and inappropriate messages, including screenshots of suicide and crisis hotlines, insinuating that I needed help- an emotionally manipulative and harmful act.
- He continued to send unsolicited texts, including dismissive comments and personal attacks, even after I asked him to stop communicating.
