In short, DON'T! Email notices are to ONLY alert you of a reply to your private message or your ad on this site. Replying to the email just wastes your time as it goes NOWHERE, and probably pisses off the person you thought you replied to when they think you just ignored them. So instead of complaining to me about your messages not being replied to from this site via email, please READ that email notice that plainly states what you need to do in order to reply to who you are trying to converse with.

I don't know where to beging with this jerk off. This guy is just trouble. Avoid him at all costs. He has filed a dispute with paypal saying I never sent him what he paid for.

Let me start by posting links to the threads I put on fauna when this guy sent me a payment via paypal. After the threads will be the entire email trail that he NEVER replied to.

Here is the thread in the general business discussion.
http://www.faunaclassifieds.com/forums/showthread.php?t=100393

Here is the thread I made after that one in the missing persons forum.
http://www.faunaclassifieds.com/forums/showthread.php?t=100437

Now here are all the emails in order.
The payment.

Well, this is my third attempt to contact you since recieving the payment. I did not hear back from you so I fed them and will now not be able to ship this week. I do not want to take a chance sending them with full bellies. I can ship on Monday for you. They will have digested this latest meal by then. Please respond. I need to know if you are going to be around to get them and when so I can make sure they do not have full bellies before going out.
I ship Monday-Wednesday for next day delivery.

I also posted on other forums looking for him in addition to the links I provided above on this forum.

Now this ahole has filed a dispute with paypal on me claiming he never received what he paid for. Damn right he didn't receive it, he never replied so we could set up the shipping. I am not shipping without speaking to the buyer first. As it is this payment came out of the blue.
I am so ticked off about this.

Here is the dispute I now have to deal with.

Subject: New Item Not Received Dispute: Case #PP-298-556-371

Dear Steve Jordanides,

Joseph Saraniti has opened a dispute for the payment made to you on Jun
7,
2007 indicating that they never received the item.

Your Transaction ID:5B72927405050733P
Buyer's Transaction ID:5M695957NS778383A

There are many reasons why this might have happened. It could be that
the
item is still in transit or was accidentally delivered to the wrong
address. Sometimes buyers open a non receipt dispute too soon because
they
underestimate how long it can take for shipping and delivery.

By opening this dispute, Joseph Saraniti is asking for your help to
resolve
this issue. This is your best opportunity to resolve this problem
before
the buyer escalates it to a PayPal claim or files a chargeback with
their
card issuer.

-----------------------------------
What To Do Next
-----------------------------------

Most of the time, disputes can be resolved quickly and amicably by
communicating with the buyer in the Resolution Center. There, you'll be
able to review the dispute details, post messages back and forth with
the
buyer, or ask PayPal to decide the case by escalating this dispute to a
claim.

- Log in to your PayPal account
- Click the Resolution Center tab
- Review the dispute details
- Post new message to buyer

To learn more about PayPal's dispute resolution process, log in to your
account and click the “Tutorials” link on the Resolution Center
tab.

-----------------------------------
Timeframe
-----------------------------------

Joseph Saraniti can escalate this dispute to a PayPal claim at any time
until Jul 9, 2007. On that date, this dispute will automatically close.

We encourage you to respond to the buyer as soon as possible. A buyer
who
feels that you are working with them to resolve a problem is less
likely to
escalate a dispute to a claim.

Keep in mind that the funds associated with this payment may be
considered
"Disputed" and not available for withdrawal until the case has been
resolved.

Thank you,

PayPal

I do not know where he claims that it was to arrive last Tuesday. I have sent 3 emails to Joseph since he paid for these snakes. I also posted on reptile forums asking if anyone knew of an alternate way to contact him since he never responded to my emails. I have saved copies of the emails attempting to contact him to set up a shipping date. I will not ship live animals without hearing from the buyer and making sure he will be there to receive the package. This dispute is unfounded. If he had replied to my numerous attempts to set up a shipping date, there would not be a problem. I do not ship live animals not knowing if they are going to sit on the porch and die if the buyer is not home. He will receive a refund once this dispute is closed. I am not sending these snakes to him. If he is not responsible enough to reply to an email he is not responsible enough to care for these snakes in my opinion. Copies of emails can be provided. A refund will be issued once this unfounded dispute is closed.

From Buyer: Joseph Saraniti on 6/19/2007 13:03 PDT

Supposed to have arrived last Tuesday, still have not arrived a week later. I will not be home to sign for the package since it was not delivered when promised. Please advise or refund.

Well at least your not going to be losing out on anything except a sale. I'd just do the refund and be done with him.

Funny enough he lives like 10 min. from me. :shrug01:

Steve , ] would be best to talk with a PP human FIRST before doing anything. Explain to them on the phone the situation and let them know you plan to refund him the amount he paid. Tricky thing is PP does not cover the sale or shipping of live animals so there is no protection on these type sales. They are going to want you to have a waybill for shipping it or refund the money while your not out anything. Explain you intend to issue the buyer the refund as they never contacted you and you would just assume not sell them anything at this point be done & walkway and be thankful.

I'll give paypal a call.
I don't care about losing the sale. He can have his refund but he will not get the animals. I would rather give them away for free to someone than sell them to him.

Well, I tried to refund him and can't. Got an error message from paypal.

I left the messages below for him. This guy is a real winner.
Now what am I supposed to do? I have an open dispute that never should have been initiated and I can't even refund this guy to end it.

From Seller: Steve Jordanides on 6/19/2007 17:09 PDT

You are a real piece of work. I can't even issue a refund to you to end this. Issue Refund ------------------------------------------------------------------------ You cannot refund this payment because the recipient is currently unable to receive money.

From Seller: Steve Jordanides on 6/19/2007 17:07 PDT

I am issuing a refund for this. I do not care to continue with this transaction any longer. If you had responded to one of my emails, you would already have the snakes but now I would prefer not to do business with you. Next time you buy something, answer the emails from the seller.

Got it. Sent you a reply. This whole situation just burns me up.

Hey Steve, PM me the email addy you have on the guy and I'll try sending him a link to this thread.

Ummm....................nevermind. Didn't realize it was in the thread title.

Yes, I feel stupid.

I'm not holding my breath that he replies to you.
He still hasn't responded to paypal yet.

This basically sums up the entire deal.

1. Sends me money out of the blue for some BP's.

2. Never answers my emails to set up a ship date.

3. Files a dispute with paypal saying I never shipped.

4. Doesn't respond to the dispute to end it.

5. Has an account that will not allow me to issue a refund since it isn't set up to recieve money so I can end it.

6. Totally ruins my day and locks of my paypal account.

Anyone know what happens since I can't refund him thru paypal?

What if I sent a money order for the refund? Would paypal eventually decide in his favor and issue the refund out of my account since I didn't ship?

Could I end up refundiong him and then paypal refund him as well since I cannot close this dispute and he isn't responding?

Have you tried contacting Oklahoma State University? That's who has his email account.

I'll try and get a hold of them in the morning. I don't think anyone would be there at this time.
