In short, DON'T! Email notices are to ONLY alert you of a reply to your private message or your ad on this site. Replying to the email just wastes your time as it goes NOWHERE, and probably pisses off the person you thought you replied to when they think you just ignored them. So instead of complaining to me about your messages not being replied to from this site via email, please READ that email notice that plainly states what you need to do in order to reply to who you are trying to converse with.

Yeah, I know. They are a pain in the butt. But they pay the bills to keep my server running. Just a fact of life, I am afraid.

Want to get rid of them? Simple. Just become a Contributor level member or above and they will be gone. -> Please click HERE."

Is that too much for me to ask of you to keep this site running? Well, sorry about that. I too wish I could get everything for free. But alas.....

Google Adsense ad revenue for December, 2025 was just $30 over the cost of the lease for the server running this site. So, in effect, the money providing the incentive for me to continue running this site is coming SOLELY from the paid memberships and sponsorships here. Which honestly ain't much....

Info Josh at Outback reptiles

outback reptiles

josh and outback are awesome bought some albino labs and piebalds from them they meet me halfway so i dint have to pay for shipping carl james hawk

I have place a few orders with Josh for the pet store I was managing. Everything went smooth and I would order with him again.

I bought 1.1 albino burmese babies, 1 savanna monitor and 1 nile monitor from outback at a reptile show a few weeks back and I have been completely satisfied with all 4 animals and will definitely be a repeat customer with outback

Outback Reptiles

For goodness sakes. We go through this every couple of months. Outback breeds, imports, and are wholesalers. That is why their prices are so low. If you want a frog that chirps a certain way, pay 2x as much a go to a frog specialist. If you want a snake that feeds on a certain prey go to a breeder and pay 2x as much. I've know Ian for decades. I have bought plenty of animals and sold him plenty of my cb animals. I've lost plenty of imported mandarins/hundred flower snakes back in days but did I come complaining that he did me wrong? I don't think anyone in this business likes their name brought up in the BOI especially when no transaction has occurred.

this guy doesn't know anything about frogs or does he know anything about other reptiles. if you watch his movies on youtube you can see he really doesn't care about his animals and feeds then what ever is cheap at the store. i also heard a lot of bad things about this guy.

that's the only bad thing with the boi. even if someone buys a $10 corn snake, neglects it and kills it, they come on here and smear large breeders/wholesalers reputations. i'm not personal buddies with ian/outback but have known him and dealt with him for decades. he is not a fly by night operation like a lot of no names that posts here. ian was one of the original importers of ball pythons directly from africa (good or bad it's your opinion). he has brought in countless bp morphs and personally produced countless bp morphs (how can u not love a panda pied:). he is also working on breeding pure amel brazilian rainbows to the market. i really appreciate the boi and think it's needed to weed out some of the real slime in this business but outback is not one of them.

if he has time to answer general chit chat emails then he has time to offer frozen thawed to the animals those customers are interested in. i guess when you get as large as out back customer service goes out the window.

i also find it odd that everyone who has anything bad to say about outback has a negative trader rating. i wonder how many of these people saying they've had such wonderful experiences with out back are actually accounts belonging to josh or ian or whoever else associated with outback.

The frozen thawed issue has been discussed earlier in this thread.
As for you Kevin, I have no interest in selling to anyone that goes out of their way to say they expect compensation if an animal does not feed on f/t, even when we told you we feed live.

As for your multiple accounts comment ...that right there shows the type of person you are.

so expecting compensation if i were to receive animals that wouldn't feed is wrong? you said in your first email to me the the animals in question were feeding on frozen thawed and only told me that you weren't sure once i grilled you on the issue.

your blatant disregard for customer service shows the content of your character and i'm sure some of these people sticking up for you are you or your buddies under assumed names.

First of all , you are crazy to think that we have the time, let alone the need to create multiple accounts just to give ourselves feedback. Aside from the blatant stupidity of a comment like that it would be very obvious of multiple persona's under one i.p address posting.

As for the issue of f/t I told you clear as day we bought the Mex Mex from a breeder who feeds f/t so were sure they would take it, but we only feed live so would not guarantee it. From there your comment of expecting compensation came into place and I said :

"Based on your compensation comment, we will pass on the sale.
That is not how we operate as there is no guarantee an animal will continue to feed on ft after shipping"

Not once did I say we do not guarantee the animal will not feed, the comment was clearly stated in regards to feeding on f/t, as we do not guarantee any animal to feed on f/t.

From there you decided to bad mouth us, and do nothing but whine and complain and only confirm my decision that we would be better to not sell to you.

It seems logical to me that if something is not what you are looking for you move on and find what you are looking for to fit your needs, not whine and complain about it.

I have no interest in wasting any more time on this issue with you. We did not have a transaction so there is no need to invest anymore of my time or energy with someone that only wants to complain about nothing.

I have purchased two captive hatched African imported ball pythons from Josh several months ago. Both are doing well and growing fast, but the male has recently given up on eating frozen thawed and is now only eating live. I find it ludicrous to believe that a seller should be held responsible for a snake's picky feeding tendencies, especially if the seller openly discloses the type of food the animal was eating prior to the sale (which Josh has done). I would order from Josh again.

yeah josh, don't forget to save me those celery eating ball pythons for the white plains show. we all know that ball pythons eat celery and frozen thawed lab rodents in the wild. i promise i am not josh. i in no way, shape, or form want to look like either josh, ian, or some of the other goons that work at outback:) like i said b4, the only problem with the boi is that you have lots of kids with nuthin' to do besides bad mouth established breeders/businesses and try to smear their reputation. done with this nonsense of a thread.

first I'm not a "kid" and have been involved with reptiles for many years. second, if loosing sales is a joke to you than that shows how much you care about your customers. not once did anyone say anything about "celery eating ball pythons" and that is a very ignorant statement. yes we know ball pythons don't eat frozen thawed lab rodents in the wild, just the same as most hatchling colubrids don't eat frozen thawed pinkies in the wild, but baby lizards. the difference is reputable breeders make the effort to convert animals to frozen thawed if possible. but if outback sells their colubrids as eating live baby lizards that fine to b/c it's the customers responsibly to find lizards and if they quit feeding after shipment outback is free of any liability, what a crock! for those looking for breeders that sell animals feeding on frozen thawed and even guarantee them to continue feeding on frozen thawed please message me and i can provide a list of reputable breeders. avoid outback and any other business that leaves gaping loopholes in their sales terms that they can wiggle out of.

Kevin,
If you have been involved with reptiles for so many years then it would not be hard for you to switch an animal over yourself, or go to one of the breeders you list that feed the prey items you prefer.
Why keep crying over the fact that we wanted to save ourselves the headache of dealing with a problem buyer such as your self.
It's a free market, we will feed our animals whatever we feel is best, and is cost affective for us. We do not run our company to fit your individual needs, but rather works best for us, and the majority of our clients.
