    Google Adsense ad revenue for December, 2025 was just $30 over the cost of the lease for the server running this site. So, in effect, the money providing the incentive for me to continue running this site is coming SOLELY from the paid memberships and sponsorships here. Which honestly ain't much....

Chuck, I just dont understand why you are giving me such a hard time. I have caught animals, but these marbles were bought. that is not even the point though. the point is that I made a trade with a guy and shipped my animals and he didnt. Maybe we have different opinions about WC animals, but you are taking this a bit far.

I am at a complete loss of words for what you are doing here. You are wrong man. From what I can see the guy is doing absolutely nothing illegal in the collection of those sallys. Morally/ethically, that is another story.... and completely subjective.

I dont condone raping nature either, but I also dont condone attacking people the way you are simply because they have a different outlook on the world. If you dont like that he is able to collect in large numbers then try to educate the guy as well as try to get the State to change its laws.

But basically trying to ruin the guy in every way you can think of over something like this is just as bad as what he is doing, if not worse. Do what CHUCK says and do only what CHUCK would do or feel the wrath of CHUCK. You sound like one of those right wing religious nuts who think they have the right to tell everyone else how to live their lives.

You know I got nothing but love for ya, Chuck, but you also I know that I am a straight shooter that calls it like I see it. Regardless of my personal feelings about the person/people involved, my only allegiance is to what I think is right and just.

what? how was I being rude? I came here to report a scammer and this chuck guy and others start flying off the handle at me. I came back at them in my own deffense cause they were wrong. I am not scared at all. I have done nothing illegal. Im sorry I offended anyone, but what would you have done if everyone jumped your case over something completely off topic. Plus, i dont have a bunch of "highend" animals. Not that its really anyones business, but I dont have much money after I pay my bills and gas. So a $200 animal would be more than i can normally afford. I dont have 1,000s of dollars to throw around.

Are you kidding me? The guy was plain attacked before he even began to say anything even slightly derogatory. He was the one treated rudely right out the gate instead of being approached in a mature respectful manner.

Chuck asked him how he obtained them and after reading everything he replied with the above comments.So he in turn changed the tone from there on.

I should have wrote cobraman instead of just writing he so you could of understood easier.When Cobraman came back with his RIGHTOUS comment that in turn pepped Chuck up and got him rolling.Is it easier for you to understand now?

I'm not giving you a hard time, you're giving you a hard time. When is enough enough? When do you stop collecting? When it reaches in the hundreds or thousands? When you have everything you wanted that you could possibly barter for? When there are no more? When is enough enough?

And please don't say you aren't doing this as a business so you therefore don't require a license. The title of your advertisement was "Wholesale marbled salamanders". So that makes you a wholesaler, a business.
 
Joe - there were 31 post on this thread before Mark responded in his defense. Three of the first four were from Mark and specificaly dealt with the bad guy situation. Most of the 27 after that were pretty rude. One of the earliest ones accused him of raping his states natural resources and wonders without any proof that he collected anything (only speculation).

How can you say that he made a mistake by being rude? Those accusations came before he had responded to anyone. He hadn't even had the chance to be rude yet.

Not entirely true. You don't know if I had that information prior to my accusation. I tossed a question at him, gave him the chance to respond, he was here and he chose to avoid my question. That was enough to confirm to me that he knew he was doing something that a lot of folks could see as morally wrong. I've spoken my feelings, they have spoken theirs, and the overall consensus seems to be that there is something morally wrong with what he is doing. I don't control the responses and this isn't a case of "do it my way or the highway". And while I could have be more gentlemanly in my approach, to perhaps persuade him to see things from my moral perspective, I really would just like him to stop. If this what I have to do then this is what I have to do. You don't like it? Sorry pal..turn the channel..lots of other stuff going on around here you might find more interesting. If he requires your assistance and you want to help him I have no problem with that or if you stick around. But I don't need you on my side nor anyone else for that matter because I do just fine on my own. I'm happy and proud that a lot of folks feel the same way I do, but I'm not recruiting people to team up with me and bash him.

So, what you are saying is that its was ok for them to be rude to me at first, but i can not come to my own defense, even if I came off in a rude tone. Criticalbill, I have never said that I have never caught any wildlife, but I did say and will say it again that these marbles I had were BOUGHT. I dont do this for a living and rarley does any money I make off of animals ever go towards anything, but other animals. I love the hobby and maybe collecting is wrong in some eyes, but I dont go out and hunt daily and rape populations like you are making it sound like.

I opted to give some leeway here, to see where it went. A complainant isn't issued a pass simply because he posted first, and sometimes a deeper look is merited. Whether or not Mark has a business license, whether permits are had (or even required) for his animals are all valid concerns......however, I don't think that they should necessarily overshadow the purpose of this thread. The person named in the title - Josh Braeden - was involved in a transaction with Mark; and, after receipt of the animals he wanted, seems to have failed to uphold his end of the deal.
I haven't gotten completely caught up on this thread - has Josh made an appearance yet? Has he been notified of this thread?

By him making those comments he gave Chuck the proof he knew he was doing something wrong.If he would have not said what he did Chuck probably would have left things be but he replied as he did and now this thread has changed course.That is how i see it and before you ask i DID read this whole thread before i commented :thumbsup:
