In short, DON'T! Email notices are to ONLY alert you of a reply to your private message or your ad on this site. Replying to the email just wastes your time as it goes NOWHERE, and probably pisses off the person you thought you replied to when they think you just ignored them. So instead of complaining to me about your messages not being replied to from this site via email, please READ that email notice that plainly states what you need to do in order to reply to who you are trying to converse with.

Yeah, I know. They are a pain in the butt. But they pay the bills to keep my server running. Just a fact of life, I am afraid.

Want to get rid of them? Simple. Just become a Contributor level member or above and they will be gone. -> Please click HERE."

Is that too much for me to ask of you to keep this site running? Well, sorry about that. I too wish I could get everything for free. But alas.....

    =====================

Google Adsense ad revenue for December, 2025 was just $30 over the cost of the lease for the server running this site. So, in effect, the money providing the incentive for me to continue running this site is coming SOLELY from the paid memberships and sponsorships here. Which honestly ain't much....

I just want to find out if anyone else has had this problem with Joshua from FYB exotics. We purchased a pair of boas from him for a good price. He sent pics, we sent the money, the deal was made. He shipped them when we asked, we gave him an extra day because he just fed them.... We received the boas, they weren't the ones he sent pics of. They were supposed to be 4-5ft long, one was only 2 ft. The other came with a very bad resperatory infection. We contacted him immediatly. He said that the snake was fine, just a little clear flem he thought was from stress and that it should clear up. Well, we have been is the business long enough to know a resperatory infection when we see one--we didn't just start yesterday. We were starting to feel better when he stopped the weezing, he never really did any star gazing, and the bubbles stopped a few days after we got him. Well--guess what, despite all of our efforts-he died. We contacted Joshua and he seemed like he was going to work with us to replace the animal. I told him if he needed proof--we froze the snake and could ship it back to him if he needed us to. He told us that wouldn't be necessary that "he didn't think we would be the type to make something like that up". Well, we asked what we could do, he said he had another male a little smaller that he had and we said okay, let us know what you are willing to work out. We haven't heard from him since. We have emailed and called his number to no avail. I wanted to post the complaint and see if anyone has had this problem with him or the company. Thanks for reading. Sorry for any spelling mistakes. I don't like posting negative feedback, but this was too much for me to ignore.

NAME - JOSHUA GUERRERO?

Tell me if this is the same person, check the spelling on his name for me as I may have some info of interest. I have his name spelt out above a little differently from you.

Is this person from Florida?

I contacted Josh about this thread, so he is now aware of it. He replied that he intended to refund your money, but had been laid up this week after a pallet fell on him at work. Take that for what it's worth and try giving him another call.

spoke to him last night and he said the same to me and he said he was either going to send it paypal or money order and i told him if it does show up i will post it but with all the other problems that have happened with this deal i hope he really intends to work it out but i will keep you posted.

matter has been resolved

Josh sent us our refund this morning for the snake that died. It took a while, but at least it is finally taken care of.

DEAD SNAKES

I have also bought off this guy. I paid for two juvenile blood pythons. Both were shipped together. I was NOT notified that they had been shipped and was fortunate enough to actually be home when they arrived......... not that it mattered, both were DEAD!

Photos were taken immeadiately as proof. I called and got his answering machine and left a message. He never called back. In his email however he told me that he couldn't be expected to take a loss like that... I guess I was to take the loss!

He offered to send a replacement blood and a partial refund. Refund was received and the third blood python also arrived DEAD!

I asked for a refund on the third blood he sent. He did refund on it after much pressure was applied and a few insults from him.

Pics attached are of the three bloods!

FIRST TWO

Here is a pic of the first two, remembering that these were photographed within 10 mins of getting them. Take a good close look at the hole on the underside of one.

Pretty obvious those weren't healthy snakes when they were shipped, unless of course they were sent ground from another country.

I'm glad that refunds were issued and things were made right, but..... why were snakes sent out in that condition?

I don't consider someone who "takes awhile" after "pressure" and "insults" to issue a refund on dead snakes a "good guy".... not by a long shot.

ms_terese

I take it you had coffee before posting on this one!

NO, the guy actually had NO intentions at all of refunding until I mentioned that I had paid with a US postal money order and would be going through the right channels with a complaint. I would also be involving law enforcement in the matter (what good that would do?) and complaint would be issued with kingsnake.com.

ONLY then did he buckle and refund, I might also point out it took several weeks of emailing him after he said he'd refund the remaining owed before he actually did....... I guess he spent the money!

Bottom line is I wouldn't buy a hissing cockroach off him. I just don't want dead snakes on my door step.

He also doesn't tell you he has shipped, so good luck to anyone buying off him and I hope you are home when they arrive!

I do point out that he did refund and it ended right, but many wrongs inbetween.

It is of my opinion that they were dead to start with.

He did change the name he was selling under on kingsnake from Joshua in Altamonte springs FL to FYB exotics in central FLorida, maybe to avoid the bad name he had under Joshua?

If he has changed his practices, then great, but after reading the original thread on this it would seem not!

I hope he does change.......... for the reptiles sake!

this is the stereotypical VERY BAD GUY

I hate these guys! Animal-abusers just send me into a
seething frenzy!!! Look at those photos! Those poor
animals obviously suffered prolonged and agonizing
deaths by starvation/neglect!

Then, he has the gall to commit an indignity to their
corpses by selling them as 'live' and shipping them
to someone else!

When are some of you people going to stand up for
yourselves and stop making excuses for these
losers??? This is one of the worst things that I have
ever seen on here! And, considering that lowlives
like neil gubicz and taron langover frequent these
forums, that is saying A LOT!

Gino

Gino, I agree!

I did get my money back, but you know what? The money I don't care about, that's replaceable!

The sad thing is these animals died before their lives even began and I would of been oh so happy if they arrived ALIVE!

dead blood pythons

This makes me sick. This guy is a BAD GUY plain and simple whether he refunded the money or not. Obviously he ships snakes that are either sick, or even dead with no compassion for the poor things. Why are there people like this in this business. The things that come up on the BOI never cease to amaze me. I hope everyone made aware of this thread will not do business with him EVER! Just my 2 cents.

Kim,

You might be right. If those snakes were sent overnight it seems as if they might have been already dead upon shipping. It seems as if they are too decomposed for them to have died in transit.

Regards.

Scott,

Look at all the necrotic tissue on the belly plus the hole on one of them. It is highly unlikely that it happened in a few hours while in transit.

Regards.

DEAD ALREADY

It is highly unlikely that it happened in a few hours while in transit.

Yep, they took 18 hours to arrive from FL by overnight service. THis in winter, so I agree, they would not decompose that quickly.

I do think they were already dead, pulled out of the freezer and sent to me.
