If you read my last I post I said I'm done and I'm going to wait. I know that it may seem to you I am making an ultimatum, but I'm not. I have said may times why don't you just work with me. YOU are the giving an Ultimatum. I have ASKED several time just to work something else out with me and all you can do is say I promise I'll have it this time. Your right I you didn't say try to get it Saturday, but you then you said OK then SUNDAY. Realize now that I didn't post the times on the emails and it looks like I wrote you back to back. I want everyone to know I didn't there are several hours between the emails. Not to mention when you were "trying to get the money together" You didn't even write me back just to let me know whats going on. You can tell I was not mad until you didn't respond for 2 days. YOU wait until I get agitated and mentioned taking this here before you wrote me back. After that is you contacted me that's when you said OK MONDAY then. After I didn't even contact you in between AT ALL. I have to email the day you OWE me again. What happens you don't respond. I know you may have been working but if you would have took 5 mins the night before to tell me what was going on WE WOULDN'T be here at all. Like I said ALL THAT I HAVE ASKED IS JUST TO MEET IN THE MIDDLE. If you don't like my offers fine I understand that. Lets work something out. I don't like your offer either. I just ask for more options like I was decent enough to do for you when it went bad on my end. Like I said in the previous post. I know I have to wait when someone owes you money the ball is in their court. I just figured any normal person would try to work something out not just say "It's going to be my or nothing." I just don't see how that wouldn't bother anyone else. He seem to be the "spoiled" one not me. I have ASKED not told him several times just to work with me. The best I could get was I will pay you Friday or Just send back the RED and it will cost ME nothing more. You know at this point sure I will take THAT deal being that you finally gave me a couple options. I'm sorry I guess I missed that post. It's not a real change in you Idea but hey it's a change. Like I said in the post before that I guess you just skimmed over. I KNOW I HAVE TO WAIT UNTIL FRIDAY. I tried to work it out you said NO we have to do it your way fine, But if I don't see the money Friday I expect to see the tegu on Tuesday. I want all of you all that will argue without reading to look at his post were he made me an offer. If I don't get the money Friday, he will finally just send one back. He said the he will sent the red back if he doesn't pay I guess I'm fine with that. I guess I have to be, if that's all he will offer. Like I said I'm done. There's nothing more to say here like I said I stated my case. If he finally pays Friday then GREAT. If not here we will be again.
Well, seems like he didnt have a choice when he sent you his three carpets and expected two b&w's in return. Im not sure how you say that hes not trying to work with you and how hes giving you an ultimatum when in reality, its you giving the ultimatum. He is resorting to everything he can just to appease you. You are putting him in the akward situation of making promises that he most likely cannot keep. He said Friday so give him until Friday to do so.
You also state that if he would have spent 5 minutes talking to you about it, you wouldnt be here. Tim, I HIGHLY doubt that. You have to remember, I have been since the other thread, you know, the one with 5 pages of emails.
Sure his communication went down after he got the Tegus and I understand why you dont trust the deal but its all on you now. Once you had posession of his snakes, and didnt have the second Tegu, you changed the deal giving him an ultimatum, so to speak. He had three choices, his snakes back, the one red and b&w + 75.00, and the red. Did you think once to offer him his snakes back + money for the simple fact that he shipped those snakes to you and incurred a cost being that you could NOT complete the transaction?
Dont get me wrong, you are owed 75.00 and 75.00 can be a lot of money to some people. He never denied that either. He could have taken a different road here but I dont see that he is. Do I think he is broke and is there a chance you wont see your 75.00, sure. And when that happens, you can honestly label him a bad guy.
But let me say this, as an outsider Tim.. You dont look so great here with your demands when you negated the original deal to begin with. You dont even give him the opportunity to pay you the 75.00 he owes you now stating that its not good enough for you.
If on Monday he has to send the Tegu(s) back to you, I would expect that you should be sending the carpets back to him as well. I am sure the carpets have a lot more value than just one b&w and more sellable as well.
Joseph, if you cannot come up with 75.00 on Friday, you should send not one, but both Tegus back and have him send you your original carpets back. Regardless of what he wants for his Tegus, I am sure you could have sold your carpets and bought a FEW Tegu's.
These are just my thoughts on the deal though. Tim, just dont be so hard-nosed in your negotiations. I am sure that you werent when you had no choice but to negate the initial deal
