Shipping/Cubans
I was going to stay out of this one but, it seem to be both a moral and ethical BUSINESS issue. With our business we turn down many people who want one or two of an item. Especially frogs. I have people all the time asking for"one spadefoot toad, green tree frog or cuban". When they ask me how much the shipping is they are shocked to find it's 10 times or more than the value of the animal. We will ship only next day service. If they do not want to put the money out...we refuse the order. I guarantee live arrival on amphibians and would not like to place them in harms way. Even the "lowly Cuban Tree Frogs". LOL We ship over 10,000 Cuban Tree's per year worldwide. I think I can safely say that they are not as tough as eveyone thinks. If mistreated or mispacked much less shipped improperly they WILL DIE! I saw the add as well and was confused as to how this was going to be done? For that price with proper shipping methods? I have to agree with the ideals of this post in regards to: Morals, ethics and this IS an improper shipping method even if a few do make it. The issue is not so much that the person has shipped in this manner rather, this manner of shipping WAS offered in regards to this deal. Proper shipping would have been additional.
