    Google Adsense ad revenue for December, 2025 was just $30 over the cost of the lease for the server running this site. So, in effect, the money providing the incentive for me to continue running this site is coming SOLELY from the paid memberships and sponsorships here. Which honestly ain't much....

Pastels are visual hets for Super Pastels, she's a really nice looking normal though!
 
Damn Joe, that poor het ghost looks so uncomfortable! I totally know what she feels like, that's how I felt around 38 weeks! :ack2: :rofl:

Some of my girls had swollen ovulations like that for 5-7 days. There would be 24 hours where they were HUGE, like they swallowed a football with the kinked up tail behind it, then it would shrink down a bit but still be obviously larger than normal. I think it depends on the female's hormones and her individual body. Kind of like how in humans, each female's cycle is a different length of time and so is that "friend" every month. For some it's 3-4 days, for others it's 7 days. I would think that other animals would be similar with individual differences.
 
That girl you thought was ovulating may just still be building and the actual ov hasn't come yet - my girl was huge swollen like that for around 10 days and finally gave me an even bigger ovulation. You can also look at the scales on the belly near the tail, if they are creased she is ovulating :thumbsup:

I have a female thats doing what it seems yours did she got big I thought that was it and a couple days went by I peeked my head and was like WTF... she almost tripled in size
 
Thankfully I've never had to experience that. :D I do have some experiences with the female cycles having a 13 year old daughter and 2 ex's! :reddevil:

I keep checking on all of them everyday, I can only imagine what that het albino girl is gonna look like if she is just building for ovulation? Last season I only had 1 female breed and I never saw anything but she laid 4 healthy eggs. Thanks for looking I'm keeping my fingers crossed for a few black pastel ghosts and a pastel clown. :bow01:

Thanks bud, That normal has been a real big topic. I saw the clutch she produced last year and even have one of her babies. The clutch was like 8 eggs with 1/2 being amazing looking pastels but my buddy who owned her didn't know who the father was. I never did much with pastels. He had people tell him she was a pastel because of her eyes until he listed her on here for sale and got slammed with negative comments. I figured I would just breed her and see what pops out and go from there? There is definitely something going on with her and those eyes. Either way she is a smoking normal in my opinion!

Oh yeh the pastel het clown was fine one day and the next day I picked him up and he spit out a big wad of mucus and died in my hands! Sometimes I guess there is now warning?:shrug01:
