    In short, DON'T! Email notices are to ONLY alert you of a reply to your private message or your ad on this site. Replying to the email just wastes your time as it goes NOWHERE, and probably pisses off the person you thought you replied to when they think you just ignored them. So instead of complaining to me about your messages not being replied to from this site via email, please READ that email notice that plainly states what you need to do in order to reply to who you are trying to converse with.

    Yeah, I know. They are a pain in the butt. But they pay the bills to keep my server running. Just a fact of life, I am afraid.

    Want to get rid of them? Simple. Just become a Contributor level member or above and they will be gone. -> Please click HERE."

    Is that too much for me to ask of you to keep this site running? Well, sorry about that. I too wish I could get everything for free. But alas.....

    =====================

    Google Adsense ad revenue for December, 2025 was just $30 over the cost of the lease for the server running this site. So, in effect, the money providing the incentive for me to continue running this site is coming SOLELY from the paid memberships and sponsorships here. Which honestly ain't much....

Just to clean the air

It is my opinion that the market will flood quickly with any leo morph that does not need to be line bred to fix the color. The genetic snows will be $15.00 each sooner or later at Strictly Reptiles. Someone will flood the market regardless of their identity.

Please take nasty disputes to the BOI or the Hell forum. I do not have a problem with either combatent. :cool:

I just got back from Petsmart Countryside Clearwater, FL on U.S. 19. I went there to pet the kittys.

They have an albino leopard gecko with red eyes there for $39.99. I would guess that it is maybe 5 to 6 weeks old. It is very pastel tan with yellow bands, and its eyes are definitely much more red than tan, but not see-thru pink. I am not an expert on albino morphs, but it is not the original Tremper albino eyes that I purchased around 1998.

Somebody is already cranking the red-eyes out, unless this is an exception. What do you all think about this.

Ummm what is this thread? Why does it not die? It's gotton much more pleasent... but what is it?! On another note I am amazed that petco had that... The one here just dumps them in with prices based on size. I have seen all different morphs for sale, none of them stellar examples, but they were all either 29.99, 59.99 , or 69.99.

*coughs and tries to change subjects*

Bruce, do you know the genetics behind those albino red-eye traits? Is it line bred or an actual gene? I've seen Trempers with the trait, but have yet to see a Rainwater with it. Do Bells naturally have it? I'm a bit too lazy to do an image search right now to double check.

I agree with what you said completely about non-linebred traits. Phenotypical traits that are easily passed on with a simple recessive or even a co-dominant gene are going to decline in value much more quickly than a line bred traight. Heck, I could buy a Mack super snow if I had the money and produce snows by next year, and I'm just a small time hobbyist breeder! On the other hand, if I bought some of Albey's line bred snows I'd have a tougher time getting the exact look I wanted (although Albey's snows are quite nice already). Dollar for dollar, line bred traits such as hypomelanism, carrottail, and tangerine retain their value longer than easily inhereted genetic traits.
