Green Keel-Bellied Lizards (Gastropholis prasina)

These wonderful little lizards are full of personality. They often get behaviorally compared to Hapturosaurus/Prasinus complex Tree Monitors like the Green Tree Monitor. They are very responsive, intelligent lizards, and always fun to watch and interact with. We keep all adults and juveniles in well-planted vivariums with ample climbing opportunities, and they will use every bit of space you provide them. One of our favorite traits of these lizards is a unique “gliding” method of movement that we often see them doing where they will “skate” through leaves and branches using their long tail behind them as an anchor/rudder and guide.
