    Google Adsense ad revenue for December, 2025 was just $30 over the cost of the lease for the server running this site. So, in effect, the money providing the incentive for me to continue running this site is coming SOLELY from the paid memberships and sponsorships here. Which honestly ain't much....

I received a sub-adult male Veiled from Karin Lieber last Friday and it died Sunday. An amazing crash for sure! I had advised them Saturday evening that he wasn't looking good and was staying on the cage floor! She asked me to keep her posted which I did. I sent them an email pic of the dead Cham and got my replacement in this morning! No questions, no hassles...period!

Hopefully this one will fare better than the first but regardless their level of service and integrity needs to be noted. BTW, both Chams are/were screamers.

I also feel that there service and animal quality has greatly improved. I contacted steve this morning about ordering 2 more ornate horned frogs with a lot of red on them and he got back to me immediately with pictures of individual frogs that looked fantastic! I had ordered a single ornate from him last wedsnday and it arrived in excellent condition all for $35 shipped.

I will add to this experience if the animals arrive in good shape tommorow.
 
If Karin is still part of TheVeiledChameleon.com, with Steve Vigo, let there be no doubt that these folks are liars and theives. They owe money hand-over-fist to many others, There are plenty of theads in this forum to substantiate this. They have also ripped off proprietary informtion from other sites, again well documented in this forum. Despite a few good orders, until they have remedied all, they are still scum, and should be avoided like the plague if any other source can be found to purchase from.

I will am going to say that they are a relaible place to buy horned frogs at a great price. Steve was even nice enough to give me a deal on 2 really red ornates. I cant speak for his other products.

I will post within the next hour when my horned frogs arrive

If you want to deal with scammers thats your problem maybe you work for these guys if you keep dealing with them youll get took sooner or later

Forgot to post. the ornate horned frogs arrived at 9:30 this morning. One of them was DOA and the other arrived healthy and ate right away. Steve is sending a replacement ornate on monday for free. The frog died from it being to cold out. The othr was buried deep in spaghnum which probably was why it is still alive. Steve responded to my email very quickly and didnt even make me show him pics of the dead frog.

Also i dont work for steve or karin, I just have had good experiences and give some feedback for them. I refuse to let some people who supposedly had bad dealings with them persuade me from stop doing business with them.

Sure ! Why pay attention to the unexplained shortcomings Steve has had with so many other deals !

Help us out here. Steve responded "very quickly" to your needs. There are threads here documenting his theft of thousands of dollars from others. Why don't you ask Steve, in between all the ornate frog lingo, why he has not responded to any of these claims here ?

When I first bought a frog and thought I was scammed I told him about all the boi threads. He idnt say anything about them. If he comes thru and sends a replacement on monday I will do business with him again.

If any of you are thinking of buying from him use a credit card thru paypal. That way you have nothing to lose.
 
I already posted a BOI but to say people "supposedly" had bad dealings is a slap in the face and calling people like me a liar.

He wrote down my address so poorly it my snake went to the wrong address...during the heat of the Florida summer no less. It dehydrated and died. And it took a call from Judge Judy's producer for him to finally replace the snake. All of this of course "supposedly". I just imagined the snake arrived near death. I imagined it died. And I imagined my 12 year old in tears helping to give it a proper burial. I also just imagined months of no returned phone calls, no returned emails, and Judge Judy's producer accepting my case for the show.
 
Sorry for using that wording but when I try to post a positive experience I had with someone and I get accused of working for them, I get annoyed. If you had a bad experience dont go to a positive feedback thread and start telling people that Steve is horrible in what is suppose to be a POSITIVE thread. I also agree that steve should be more proffesional as far as printing out shipping labels instead of writing them out.

Like I said my replacement is being sent monday and I will report back here when i get it.

Remember there should only be positive remarks here since this is a good guy thread and not a bad guy thread.
 
I only came into this thread because of your "supposedly" statement. I was trying to have you see your wording was not only dead wrong, but insulting as well. Thanks for the apology. I hope you get your replacement frog a lot faster than I got my replacement snake.
 
This thread is about this seller so Good and Bad Experiences are able to be posted in here: however with this couple.. I don't think it really matters because they already have so many bad threads about them so Crystal posting her experience just shows the sort of people they are. One good experience doesn't outweigh the bad in my opinion so I wish you luck with your replacement.

Like i said if people are concerned about ordering from them just use a credit card thru paypal.

I have to say other thanphillipe de vosjoli, Steve is the only seller who sent me pics of the ornates with the most red and had the lowest price. Every other seller said that they didnt have individual pics. So if everyone was wondering as to why I take my chances ordering from them this is why.

Also remember if people have positive experiences they rarely write a review or give feedback but if they have a negative experience they will almost always write negative things. So there could be more than just me out there that didnt have a negative experience.
 
In my opinion, ten good sales won't make up for one bad sale that was never taken care of. There is obviously more than one negative review on here and the people are still waiting for their money. If someone does something wrong and then fixes the mistake, that's one thing. But to ignore it is just wrong and they won't get my business.

I DID. But you also need to understand, there are laws. If I went to the addresses I got on him, they sounded like homes or apartments. Just showing up could get me in trouble with the cops. We ended up contacting Judge Judy. The producer called him and sent a letter. He never answered them. Then my boyfriend, using his phone, he called and left a message saying he wanted to buy a chameleon and wanted to ask him some questions...THEN he answered the phone!!!! My boyfriend asked him how he wants to deal with this dead snake problem and Steve, now placed on the spot, said he was willing to replace it. We told him we didn't want him to send another snake by UPS and we drove the 4 hours down there to meet him at a local gas station.

And to say no one writes good reviews...have you not seen the BOI? Its FULL of good reviews, IMO, more good ones than bad ones. But wouldn't you know it, Veiled Chameleon has more bad reviews than good ones. Unlike many other breeders and dealers here who get more good than bad. And its rare for bad reviews to be as bad as Veiled Chameleons. Most bad reviews are RESOLVED quickly and professionally.

4 months I had a dead snake in my freezer, awaiting its day in court should the evidence be asked for.
 
It would be like going to a pet store with a dead animal and requesting a refund. You wouldnt have gotten in trouble because you are going to a business address. If anything he coulld be in trouble for running a business out of his home or keeping animals in sub par conditions.

If I was cammed by somebody in NY I would have went to there address that is listed and ask them fir a refund or replacement. There are different laws that pertain to businesses and the addresses they use. Plus if steve was scamming you I dont think he would be the one calling the cops.
 
Also being a person that runs a business I know that one unresolved dealing hangs over you. Customer service is as very important in any business and if I made a mistake I would at the very least communicate with my customer to get it resolved. It doesnt matter how good or cheap the products are customer service is the most important thing.

It's a four hour drive there with no idea in if he will be there or not. If he will answer or not. I drove there only when I spoke to him.

FL laws are not NY laws. Gun laws make it a bit of a wild west here, if he felt threatened and had a gun he could use it legally on us.

He could have got us for trespass and had us arrested. You have no idea how the law works. You can't just go all gun ho on people when they do you wrong. He could have certainly called the police even if he owed us a snake....it was a civil manner not lawful one. We had a contract not a crime. I think I understand the law and it's proceedings a bit better than you dear.
