• In the past two days I have gotten emails asking about being requested to provide credit card info in order to register and also to make a post in the classifieds forums. PLEASE NOTE: In no instance will this site ask you for this sort of information. The only time any request for payment is made is if you choose to opt-in for a higher membership level, and that is done SOLELY through PayPal. Anything else is coming from a source other than this site. My guess is that this is coming through Google Adsense, but when I can get someone to send me a screen shot of this sort of request, I will know more.
  • Responding to email notices you receive.
    **************************************************
In short, DON'T! Email notices are to ONLY alert you of a reply to your private message or your ad on this site. Replying to the email just wastes your time as it goes NOWHERE, and probably pisses off the person you thought you replied to when they think you just ignored them. So instead of complaining to me about your messages not being replied to from this site via email, please READ that email notice that plainly states what you need to do in order to reply to who you are trying to converse with.

If someone leaves positive Karma, are we supposed to thank that person. I don't want to be rude and not thank someone if thanking is expected.

It isn't expected...but it isn't unheard of. Generally, the only time I respond to karma is if the comment strikes a chord - whether it be helpful, reassuring, funny, whatever.

I must be dumb as a post but I can't figure out how to find who left me Karma - am I missing a magic button?

(Sorry, I'm SURE you're tired of giving out instructions like this, but I really have tried....)

Just click the circle that says "bad post" and then type in a message if you want.. and click submit

I don't see where to do negative karma either.I see where I can add to someone's or where i can report the post... I dunno why...

John, once you click on the Karma icon, you should see two choices. To hit someone with a neg, select the bottom option...

Yes, that is correct. I would imagine most people will know why this has to be so here....

I was only wondering as I have had some particularly bad posts by a certain some one on a thread I started awhile back lol! I understand completely! If not a "vetran account" folks would make several accounts just to give bad Karma to peeps they don't like! You are a smart guy! Thanks!!
