In short, DON'T! Email notices are to ONLY alert you of a reply to your private message or your ad on this site. Replying to the email just wastes your time as it goes NOWHERE, and probably pisses off the person you thought you replied to when they think you just ignored them. So instead of complaining to me about your messages not being replied to from this site via email, please READ that email notice that plainly states what you need to do in order to reply to who you are trying to converse with.

Yeah, I know. They are a pain in the butt. But they pay the bills to keep my server running. Just a fact of life, I am afraid.

Want to get rid of them? Simple. Just become a Contributor level member or above and they will be gone. -> Please click HERE."

Is that too much for me to ask of you to keep this site running? Well, sorry about that. I too wish I could get everything for free. But alas.....

    =====================

Google Adsense ad revenue for December, 2025 was just $30 over the cost of the lease for the server running this site. So, in effect, the money providing the incentive for me to continue running this site is coming SOLELY from the paid memberships and sponsorships here. Which honestly ain't much....

Perhaps I missed the memo on some changes to giving and receiving karma points. But...is there any reason I cannot give out negative karma for posts? I can receive them but I cannot give them. At this time I am only able to give good karma points for posts.

Thanks in advance for answers.....

Dunno Laura, I was just going by what the chart said. Maybe one of the site mods, or Rich, can clear that up?

Edit***

Hey Laura, was the little box thingy next to the comment grey or red? If it was red, then it was actual negative Karma that counted towards your points, if it was grey, while the comment may have been nasty, it was neutral and didn't count towards your point total.

I am thinking that maybe some of the "paid" members are not getting or have requested not to have the coin on?
I have seen paid participant (something to that effect)under their screen names on people who are using the ads but I do not always see coins.

Yes, theres an option to do that in the User CP i believe.... i was told how to do it, if one wanted to hide them. But i dont remember exactly how...

Thanks guys.

Another quick question for anyone with knowledge of the karna system, can you see who left you karma if you are at the contributor level membership?

User CP.
Scroll down to Group Memberships.
Choose setting.

I am a paid member. I just dont show my coin.

Until you've reached 100 posts and accumulated some karma to give out, any karma you leave will be a purely symbolic gesture that doesn't count toward your target's karma rating. Also, you'll only be able to leave positive karma, since you're not a paying member.

Anyway, check out the screenshots below to see how to give karma and send someone a friend request. For karma, just click on the little scale icon that I've outlined in red. To 'friend' someone, you'll need to click on their user name and enter their profile page via the drop-down menu that appears.

Sammy hasn't logged in for nearly 3 yrs.
About the only benefit I can think of is that, without the coins, posts take up a little less space
