Great Experience

I purchased my first Leopard Gecko from Kelli & Steve Saturday at the Arlington NARBC show. Steve was very friendly and very helpful to a Gecko newbie. It sure is nice to deal with good people with a great reputation, and I'm very happy that they are local, because I think I'm hooked on Leopard Geckos. Thank You Steve and Kelli

For clarification.

If I understand what happened on your thread on Kelli’s forum. You had a problem with someone else not Kelli. Because you have purchased animals form her in the past you assumed that you bought some type of protection that none could post in the future that they had a bad experience with you. You thought because you purchased from Kelli that she wouldn’t dare comment on a transaction that you had that went very badly.

I guess you thought wrong.

You weren’t home to accept your package on that thread. You wanted thousands of dollars worth of animals left on your door step without a signature. You were in the wrong. Period!

Did I understand that thread correctly?

Would you mind explaining to me exactly how I stabbed you in the back? Here is the exact quote from the thread on my website that upset you so:

I have to say that I have sold to both Bruce and GKO Reptiles and both were fantastic customers to deal with. My thoughts on this situation are very clear and concise. If I know that I am to be receiving animals on a particular morning, I make sure that I am home and ready to receive them. Now, some things are out of our control so to speak (what if Bruce was in the bathroom, what if an emergency came up and he had to leave etc, when Fed Ex rang the doorbell). Still, I feel as a customer it is my responsibility to make sure I am home and able to receive the animals I know are arriving that morning when they arrive. If GKO's written terms on their website state that their live arrival guarantee is null and void if the package isn't signed for, then the situation is pretty clear. I ship all my geckos, no matter the value, signature required. I do not want my animals left on someone's porch, I want them signed for and received by the buyer.

Sorry Bruce, I just truly feel you are in the wrong on this one. Especially if they offered to meet you halfway on the deal and you declined. I just don't see how any of it is GKO's fault. They did the proper thing by shipping their animals signature required, I expect no less from anyone that ships geckos to me. BTW, Christine, do you have a copy of the email where you guys offered Bruce half the money back? It might be helpful if you go ahead and post that here.

I guess you must feel that even when a "friend" (guess I was wrong about you being one) is in the wrong, I should agree with their position no matter how I truly feel.

As far as my situation with Rich, we have worked that out between us. I care about Rich's opinion of me very much and the situation between us has nothing, zero, to do with my business. It had to do with a tragedy that occured in my life and with a sleazebucket named Chris Johnson trying to gain from my tragedy. You bringing it up here again makes you look much worse than I do.

Bruce, just what IS your experience with Kelli? If I remember correctly, your direct experience in doing business with her was more than favorable. What did she do to you other than disagree with you when you were trying to get a refund from GKO Reptiles by falsely claiming the geckos you purchased from them arrived dead, when in reality you didn't want to get out of bed to sign for them when FedEx delivered them. Those geckos DIED a horrible death because you were too lazy to answer the door, and they were put back on the hot truck!

Not only are you on my "do not sell to" list, but you are now on the top of my "do not associate with" list. I would tell you how I really feel about you, but you aren't worth getting any warning points over. SHAME ON YOU!

That is beyond low to even try to dredge up that situation between Kelli and Rich again. You're being nothing but a cry baby because you didn't get your way in a situation of your own making.

I think your post serves as another textbook example of why folks should pause and think before hitting the "Post Reply" button. If for no other reason, to think through one last time "what am I going to accomplish here?" So, in a post that is #102 in a thread that will bury again soon enough, without any resurrection ever bringing post #102 to light again, you have only attracted attention to it today, and the recollections that last beyond today. Did you make more friends from it ? Influence people positively about you ? Negatively about Kelli ? With the answer to all three a resounding "NO", the only thing accomplished is that more people now have a negative opinion of you than before. I do not wish you ill, but your post was not the stuff of brilliance.

There was no call for your post here Bruce. I read that entire thread some time back. I can see that you were upset but with the passage of time I would have hoped that you would have realized that you were 100% in the wrong to have missed the shipment (more than once if I recall correctly) and that the other party was more than generous in their original offer. Kelli Hammack is a pleasure to buy from. I saw an ad last year for "Flame", the best leopard gecko I had ever seen. I bought him for $1,500.00 even though I had no idea that Kelli is one of the top 5 leo breeders in terms of quality in the world. She held him for me for several weeks, while I ordered a rack from Boaphile Plastics. I then called her, and she sent him right away. Try that with a lot of those shmucks out there!

By the way Kelli, Flame is doing fine, and has some great looking girls that I bought from a number of members of Fauna Classifieds and the leopard gecko forum. Thank You!

I recently purchased seven of Kelli Hammack's best leopard geckos for $2,800.00. She even threw in two extras. Kelli Hammack is the finest leopard gecko breeder and seller on the planet today, in my humble opinion. You wouldn't believe how beautiful her(now mine! ha ha) leopard geckos are. Thanks Kelli! You are The Greatest!

Kelli and Marcia are the highest class of individuals here on Fauna. They always have something nice to say. Zero negativity.

I paid $1,500.00 for Kelli Hammack's male Flame last summer. He still surpasses any of the Urban Tornados I purchased, but the Tornados are juvies, not a large adult like Flame.

Not to sidetrack, but yes. He's done it several times when I've addressed known scumbags as other than their given or screen names. I guess it's all he's got and he just won't leave me be.

It's not REAL selective enforcement is it? But, then again, he and lucille are fast friends so I guess she is not held to the same standard as I am, since I don't like him at all.

Of course, good mods, like Dennis and John and Harald DON'T let personal feelings interfere in the proper carrying out of thier duties, but dand will NEVER meet the bar they set, not in a million million years, he's just incapable.
