    Google Adsense ad revenue for December, 2025 was just $30 over the cost of the lease for the server running this site. So, in effect, the money providing the incentive for me to continue running this site is coming SOLELY from the paid memberships and sponsorships here. Which honestly ain't much....

I thought we were all past this and agreed that everyone could be a happy member of both sites and enjoy both. I like a lot of people on both sites and think all this crap needs to stop if we are to move on.

How was your fathers day Jeremy? Do anything special??
 
It's her husband, for crying out loud, an no...not everyone knew that. Again, what's your point? They agree, so they gave positive points.
 
And I might add, the only person sirring up the muck is Webslave...no one would have known or cared otherwise.

Then why register and make the post other than to continue in the same manner that started this? He then knows where the "other" people are and need not make the post here except to continue to stirr up the pot.
 
He's hardly the only lurker to state WHY they are a lurker, then not post again. If joe-schmoe made that EXACT same post, you wouldn't care, but I bet positive points would be given because people would STILL agree with him.

Though I highly doubt that 222 points would have been gioven to Joe-shmoe in 11 seconds 4 days after his initial post by this group. Sounds a little fishy if you ask me.

I don't think this holds any water whatsoever. You're really reaching to make his one measly post a conspiracy.

My husband is a registered member, and on more than one occasion (before he chose to stop coming here) he made posts supporting opinions in threads that I had also posted in. Why should he not have the same right to post as anyone else?

I bet if Rich posted EVERYONE's karma points, including where they came from and when, you'd find a whole lake full of fish. I'm curious, though, since you only are aware of what karma you receive and when, how do you make the determination that those points in that time frame were unusual?

I realize that some of you are still trying to make a federal case of how a handful of folks are just evil, but you're really not helping that cause.
 
I think for someone to come on this forum and for their first post say all that is shocking to sy the least. To say that all the learned people in the leopard gecko forum are no longer here and there is nothing to be learned here is utterly rediculous. I would like to think that ater 20 years in the reptile hobby i would have atleast a little to offer the new and inexperienced people getting into leopard geckos, as well as a lot of other long time experienced members that will continue posting in that forum.

I pride myself on always being there to help people, and will continue to doso and so will a lot of other people. There is no way that any of you are going to tel me he didnt post that for a reason. Here i thought everyone has greed to enjoy both sites and nobody would be mad at each other for visiting either. Why and stir up the hornets nst again?? How can you say rich started it up again, he didnt make that pot. It was nice and quiet here for a while and things were cooling down, but he had to fan the flames by telling everyone there is no one left here to learn from. 26,000 members and not a darn thing to learn. what a bunch of 26,000 idiots we are!!!!!!!!!

:rolleyes: glenn is her husband. he keeps geckos as well.. so, it is not a fake name or whatever and definately not an abuse of the system. what he said was his opinion, we all have them huh nicoli? both russ and myself have different accounts on here. big whoop!
and as far as i see it, yes all the good gecko peole have left here. is that clearer?

ok so my husband and i have seperate accounts on the same IP ... every site we go to we do. why? so everyone knows if it is myself or russell behind the keys (even though normally people can tell, if they know us.. we are very different)
and varnyard have you ever heard of especially women keeping their maiden name as their professional (work) name?
if you havent, it happens ALL the time especially in the profesional workforce. common sense and experience in the professional business world will tell you this. umm :hehe:

just look around for the experienced keepers and breeders. where are they? maybe one or two are here maybe, but that's about it. i am not saying they all went to geckofoums.net but most of them surely are not here and that is a fact not an opinion

Sure....in the way he stated his opinion....sure it was wrong. He basically said that he joined because of the people he could learn from here and they arent here anymore.

Is your information and experience that useless to him? You're here...you cant help him? Youre information and experience is useless? Theres no one left here that he could learn from at all?

Maybe he just wants advice from a select few...and thats fine. Maybe he just likes his info served with a video game of space invaders and mini golf.....and thats fine too. Which ever site makes it more fun for you should be the place you spend you most of your time at...I guess.

Tough to say, but I don't think its nearly as big a crime as a Rabbi performing a circumcision with a butter knife in the back seat of ford crown victoria traveling at 80 on a rough road with bad shocks.

Petty? Maybe, but for who? Rich? Or for Glenn...who could have said the very same thing on the other site where all the people with the knowledge he truly cherishes come to gather in one place?

Glenn could have posted the exact same thing on Kelli's site as a compliment to those folks hes supporting...instead of insulting the owner and member base here. Glenn's words weren't petty....they were classless and insensitive.

Why would that make one wonder? Have you honestly never met one person that didn't change their name when they got married? Work in a post office for a little bit and you'll see that all the time. Some people still hold to the convention of changing your name, some people hyphenate (annoying if you ask me), and other don't change their name. This is weird why?

All this fuss is some very pathetic attention grabbing IMO. You want to know the HUGE conspiracy? A person in chat said "Hey, check out this post" and linked it. Of the MANY people in chat that night, only a few gave points. I was there, I agreed with and liked the post, and nearly gave points. However, I'm not in the habit of giving points...I can't remember the last time I did. It wasn't until later someone else mentioned who that was.

Well, that is your opinion. Looks like the are plenty of posts, as well as new threads and answers to question on that forum every day. I would say IMO, some of the people chose not to be pitted with those so called professionals.

As for advertisement of geckofoums.net, people need to know the facts at the beginning of this tread before going into such a place.
