    In short, DON'T! Email notices are to ONLY alert you of a reply to your private message or your ad on this site. Replying to the email just wastes your time as it goes NOWHERE, and probably pisses off the person you thought you replied to when they think you just ignored them. So instead of complaining to me about your messages not being replied to from this site via email, please READ that email notice that plainly states what you need to do in order to reply to who you are trying to converse with.

    Google Adsense ad revenue for December, 2025 was just $30 over the cost of the lease for the server running this site. So, in effect, the money providing the incentive for me to continue running this site is coming SOLELY from the paid memberships and sponsorships here. Which honestly ain't much....

Jason, what if you're not sending them to her partner but to her next victim. Wouldn't that compromise you in some way?

In a perfect world no. But I've been around the block a time or two. And this world is far from perfect. I feel that Jason should ship them back to where they originated from, only to save him from this jumping up and biting him in the rear, and reading about how Jason shipped these poor condition snakes to who ever partner/victim. but that is judgement call on Jason JMHO

Come on guys give me a little more credit than that.:) I did think it through and shipped them to the person in GA with her name on the shipper's portion of the air bill. The bill and all inquiries will go to her. I am in no way attached to this package because they don't have any record of me or my address to tie it to. If you do a search in DHL to track the package it just says that the package was shipped out and shows that it went through KS to GA.

By the way this is the instruction I was given by the DHL rep to make sure I didn't get hit with the bill for shipping.

She did say that this was a new customer. Which made me feel kind of sick. The address they were shipped to is not the same as the one that was posted about her earlier in the thread.

As messy as all of this is, I don't think you have a liability here any longer. Even if the animals arrive DOA, with you as shipper, you have no TOS in the deal, accepted no money for the purchase, etc. Some may want to debate whether you have any civil liability, which I believe you do not, but it just isn't going to happen for an amount this small. As to whether or not the individual receiving them is a "new customer" or not would certainly be in question as well. It would make sense for Kelly Who-ever to make it appear that these animals are no longer in the marketplace, and she could be using an intermediary accomplice to do that. Have to hope that a few readers here have learned by your almost-mistake, and by your alertness.

I know it's not on you, Jason, but man.... Poor person!

If we had foresight, I would have left a note in the box or something like that. But that probably wouldn't have helped anyone after the money was transferred.

It's so sad that people have to scam and con thier way thru life in every aspect of it.. You can't escape it!

I don't think it IS a new customer and here's why....

I got a phone call tonight on my way to Dallas from one of the guys here on the forum that has reason to beleive that they went to her address. Apparently she lives in Georgia and her boyfriend lives in Florida. So there is a seriuos scam working here. Apparently there are several levels of law enforcment looking for her and when I get home I am going to aid in the investigation as much as I can. Someone had to be there today to receive the snakes as they were delivered successfully.

This lady is even more of a scumbag then I thought. I don't beleive in hitting women, but I'm afraid I would have to knock the fecal matter out of this chick if I was to meet her in person. These are the kinds of people that are ruining this hobby. Unfortunatly there really is no way to prevent this sort of thing from happening.
 
bearded pets...

I was just about to inquire about whatever happened to bearded pets when I came across this thread. Now, with that having been said, my question still remains. They now use the alias kelly reggie. But according to this thread, they haven't been heard from in close to 6 months.

That makes me wonder where they are now...

1. Has law enforcement finally caught-up with them and tossed them in the cooler?

2. Have they just began using another alias?

3. Maybe they ripped-off the wrong person and were introduced to the business end of a 12-gauge?

Personally, I am hoping for the latter, but I also know that we (as a community) are not that lucky. Does anyone have an update?

I have not been made aware of anything since this thread was posted. The last I knew the state police from Florida and Georgia were closing in on both of them and were planning on taking the two of them into custody for internet fraud among other charges.
