There was rigormortis setting in on the mambas, that brought another question that was discussed between us when we were unpacking them, when exactly they died? I don't know exactly how long it takes for that to start, but I am sure the cold tempratures accelerated the process. It was setting in in a majority of the mambas pictured, I forgot to mention that point, but it was just another example on top of a pile on how poorly these snakes were packed. How long does it generally take for dead snakes to start getting stiff, would the cold accelerate this?
