    Google Adsense ad revenue for December, 2025 was just $30 over the cost of the lease for the server running this site. So, in effect, the money providing the incentive for me to continue running this site is coming SOLELY from the paid memberships and sponsorships here. Which honestly ain't much....

I see an ad from Kent Bravin of Sweden on KS classifieds - http://market.kingsnake.com/detail.php?cat=40&de=364141
I have been ripped off from this fellow as have many others. He is well know in Europe as a thief.

I hate to see others fall under his scam also. I fell victim to an ad he placed on Kingsnake a month and a half ago. I had made an inquiry on him here but got no replies unfortunately.

I wired 300 Euro to him as deposit on several snakes. Then- by luck, I was communicating with a gentleman on another board when he warned me of Bravin's reputation in Europe for being a thief. It was then that I got cold feet. I asked Kent that he either send me only 4 of the snakes I ordered (amounting to 240 Euro) and we would call it even or send me back 250 Euro and keep 50 for the troubles. After some time, he said he could not find carrier that would accept shipment to me because of time of year so he would return my money.
Since then, several excuses - no money.
I have saved all all e-mails from him. I also have managed to get his cell phone, home phone and address in Sweden - even photo of him. (He only gave me cell and bogus address...rest I got from one of his other victims in Europe)
I know my money is gone - I hope to save others from same fate.
DO NOT DEAL WITH THIS GUY!!!!

How come you didn't buy closer to home? Sweden is a loooong way from British Columbia. I can't imagine the shipping headaches that could result. Were these particularly special snakes?
 
You might want to post the relevant texts of the threads linked. External links are not allowed, because there is no guarantee of that information staying where it is. You might also want to post the emails as proof. :)

That's EXACTLY what I was wondering.
 
Coyote - Well, yes - there were some species very difficult to find as CB in North America - Thrasops jacksoni and Gonyosoma oxycephala. Kent had originally insured me that he has made shipment to Canada before without incidence. I have shipped my animals to Europe before without problem also.

Well - I hate to bring up another thread on Mr Bravin as I see several threads here but cannot undertand most of them - as I can only read English.
I made a deal with Kent for several snakes and sent him 300 Euro deposit after responding to an ad he placed on another forum called kingsnake.com. He advertised under the business name of Impo Trading HB. He confirmed receiving deposit on Oct 24.

Kent if you are reading this - please send me the 250 Euro - I have given you all my bank details. I am sorry to have taken this public but if and when I received my money back I will make announcement here so all will know you kept your word. And I also will supply apology.

Since Bravin owes me money, I wrote there and Bravin private mailed me.
He wrote: "give your full name and address and 300 Euro will be sent at once."

That was 2005-03-26...

2005-03-30 I asked what´s taking so long...
Aswer was: "I am waiting for a man to come and collect my trio Chondro that he bought.
He promised to be here on Monday, but was delayed. Now he say tomorrow.'
As soon as he has been here I will transfer 300 Euro by Western Union."

Since that I haven´t heard about him, even though I have mailed him.

He really isn´t trustworthy. I knew that before, hopefully everybody else realise it too. "

I fully understand your concern.
I am relly carefull about packing. There are many details to plan before shipping. First I only send animals that are in good condition. I will not feed any anymals a week before sending. All animals will be soaked in water to make sure that they has emty stomach and are not dehydrated. I will let the animals get use to the cooler conditions that shipping mean. No high changes in temperatur and so on. And most important I will guarantee live arrival.

You know I live in Sweden in the north of Europe. I am used to the cool climat. I have sent baby Water Dragons when it has been 22 degres below zero with no problem. I am sure that once you recive the shipment you will be suprised by my easy packing and you will have no problem with the animalsd. I always tell my buyers to keep the animals at normal roomtemperature (18 to 20 degrees) for the first 24 hours. This beacuse many people will put their newly imports direct in to a heated terrarium at 30 degrees. Temperatur changes on more that 10 degrees should be made over at least 24 hours. If you take a cold reptile, Let us say 12 degrees and put in terrarium, Let us ay 30 degress. I canpromise you that it will get bad. But if you first keep it att 20 degress and put it in terrarium early morning when terrariunm temp is at the lowest it will work out great. So my recommendation is. Keep all fresh imports in plastic container at roomtemp for the first day. Put it in terrarium early morning before light goes on. Do not turn on any extra heat until the second day.

Easy as that.

If you for any ( and I mean any) reason not are satisfide. You just let me know and I am sure to settle it. one way or another.

I have been in this trade since 1985 and I have stepped on many toes. I have always tryed to settled old bad bussines, but some people preffere to talk shit insted of settleing them. One Danish man named Michelle Zola and I did bussinis back in 1986. I spent 6 month in jail due to him. So please ask them for name.
I am sure that the answer will be."It is not me, but a friend of mine, know someone that has lost money to Kent." There is only one person that I have unfinished bussines wityh and that is a Cammila Ekberg in Finland. She has lost 300 Euro and that was out of my control. When I tryed to settle it, she preffered to not deal with me and insted starting rumors about me on internet. So please check and see if any of those people will back it up with name and address.

I know that rumors like this can worry you, and I relly don´t know how to deal with it. So far you have invested 300 Euros and if you want it back just let me know.

As for your 2 solutions here is what I will do.
I will try to book a fligt to Vancouver as soon as possible. I will contact SAScargo today. If they can´t get me any space before November11 I will return the 300 Euro to you. If they can find space I will send you Goniosoma and Boigas + a little extra that I hope you will settle when you recived the shipment.

I should be getting an answer from SAScargo before this weekend. So on Saturday at least I will have a booking or be returning your money.
