• In the past two days I have gotten emails asking about being requested to provide credit card info in order to register and also to make a post in the classifieds forums. PLEASE NOTE: In no instance will this site ask you for this sort of information. The only time any request for payment is made is if you choose to opt-in for a higher membership level, and that is done SOLELY through PayPal. Anything else is coming from a source other than this site. My guess is that this is coming through Google Adsense, but when I can get someone to send me a screen shot of this sort of request, I will know more.

    In short, DON'T! Email notices are to ONLY alert you of a reply to your private message or your ad on this site. Replying to the email just wastes your time as it goes NOWHERE, and probably pisses off the person you thought you replied to when they think you just ignored them. So instead of complaining to me about your messages not being replied to from this site via email, please READ that email notice that plainly states what you need to do in order to reply to who you are trying to converse with.

I'm hearing a lot of "oh you'll just about never see him", but also "usually under the substrate", and even "out in the open a lot". There doesn't seem to be a solid answer so I guess I'll ask here.

How often does one see their KSB out in the tank? Is like you'll only see them at a certain time of day? Will I see it out and exploring every few days? Or will I catch a glimpse of him once a week?

I know the boards aren't very active in these parts so any answers are appreciated! Thank you!
 
My girl was shy when I first got her, but with a little handling she equates me with feeding and has turned into a monster always peeking or roaming in hopes I'll give her a fuzzy(or move in on tank mates fuzzy)... tank mate is also starting to follow suit as she's getting acclimated. Both are chill being handled. Male in separate tank is still skittish but new and is eating better so will start to handle and hopefully he'll follow suit. Just my experience but hope that helps. Females in 20l male 10...2 inches of walnut shell, cave hide, fake suction cup plants along wall... water dish other side by plants. Have fun!
 
I like the description you gave of your snakes' behavior, Mark, but please don't ever, ever feed snakes in the same enclosure. Not ever, not for any reason. The snakes will attempt to consume each other, and maybe not while you're watching. Snakes, and boas in particular, are very food driven, and are not at all intelligent, and will take a cage mate that smells a bit like a rodent to be a rodent.

Separate snakes for feeding, and keep them separate for at least 24 hours after.
