In short, DON'T! Email notices are to ONLY alert you of a reply to your private message or your ad on this site. Replying to the email just wastes your time as it goes NOWHERE, and probably pisses off the person you thought you replied to when they think you just ignored them. So instead of complaining to me about your messages not being replied to from this site via email, please READ that email notice that plainly states what you need to do in order to reply to who you are trying to converse with.

Yeah, I know. They are a pain in the butt. But they pay the bills to keep my server running. Just a fact of life, I am afraid.

Want to get rid of them? Simple. Just become a Contributor level member or above and they will be gone. -> Please click HERE."

Is that too much for me to ask of you to keep this site running? Well, sorry about that. I too wish I could get everything for free. But alas.....

    =====================

Google Adsense ad revenue for December, 2025 was just $30 over the cost of the lease for the server running this site. So, in effect, the money providing the incentive for me to continue running this site is coming SOLELY from the paid memberships and sponsorships here. Which honestly ain't much....

i got a pair of hatchling kenyans, all the time ive had them theyve not fed which is about 6 weeks, they don't look thin an ive read sometimes if born in the winter months they don't feed till summer, they were born in september 05 . im starting to get abit worried now, any ideas what i should do?

cheers

Were they feeding before you bought them?
Are you feeding live or frozen thawed?
What size cage are they in and are they being housed together?
What are the temperatures they are being kept at?
Are you feeding them during the day or at night? They usually feed best at night.
Are you feeding them in the cage or a seperate container?
How often are you handling them?

Lets start with those questions, maybe we can single out a few things and be able to help you out.

the temp at the hot side is 90 with a cool side at room temp, there both together in a 18" x 8" plastic reptile tank, ive tried braining the pinky, feeding day an night, im not sure if they were feeding when i got them but they were fat an healthy, now there losing weight. they are handled about every 2 days but not for long. im feeding frozon thawed, don't think i could get hold of live. ice tried feedin them in and out of the cage.

cheers

First, seperate them, I have seen young snakes stop eating because there was another snake in the same cage.

Check the humdity, they do beter in dry enviroments.

After seperating them, do not handle them for at least 5 days, this will give them time to get used to new surroundings. They may be stressed out from being picked up ever 2 days and that is why they are not eating. Even opening the cage every day can bother snakes. Almost all of the kenyan babies I have owned fed really well on live pinkies, the only time they refused food was when they were in shed. Look around and try to find a place that sells them, maybe a private person does. When you do get live pinkies feed them in their cage. Good luck, keep us updated.

ive seperated them an changed the substrate from wood chippings to sand, they seem much happier, im pretty sure live pinkys would work but its finding them, they defiantely wouldn't survive postage, its freezing here. il try a dead pinky tonight
