    In short, DON'T! Email notices are to ONLY alert you of a reply to your private message or your ad on this site. Replying to the email just wastes your time as it goes NOWHERE, and probably pisses off the person you thought you replied to when they think you just ignored them. So instead of complaining to me about your messages not being replied to from this site via email, please READ that email notice that plainly states what you need to do in order to reply to who you are trying to converse with.

    Google Adsense ad revenue for December, 2025 was just $30 over the cost of the lease for the server running this site. So, in effect, the money providing the incentive for me to continue running this site is coming SOLELY from the paid memberships and sponsorships here. Which honestly ain't much....

Air shipping options

Last time I checked into Delta it was like $175 to ship one package, there is no way I could do that, now if I'm wrong let me know and tell me what you pay.
 
Delta cargo is $35 from portland to anywhere in the usa.
Delta Dash is $75


Blue tree monitor is what? $1500? $2000?

So...

technically what's a known shipper. I just checked on the Delta site, and I must be looking in the wrong area, but for Delta Dash Pets it's $153 minimum for shipping out of CA, actually for shipping out of the West Coast. How do you become a known shipper??
 
You must log on to the TSA website. This is a gov. website that will take about 6 weeks to do a background check on you. They will tell you how to apply and what papers you'll need to fill out to get your security agreement with the government. They will issue a security number which must accompany all shipments. This number when entered into the computer at the airport will automatically come up with information on you, including picture ID. This is all due to the events of Sept 11th.

As far as shipping and receiving snakes via USPS, both the shipper and receiver are in violation and are both subject to a fine and or imprisonment. The fine starts at $500 for each and the jail term is 5 years.

I know of a woman who sent a couple of birds via USPS that are not on the approved list of shippable birds( poultry, pigeons, ducks, geese, quail and gamebirds are OK everything else is not).
The feds were waiting for the birds to be picked up at the other end, and arrested the woman. To make a long story short, in court they were fined $500 and the jail sentence was waived since it was "not snakes". Turns out, snakes are considered very serious with the USPS for some reason.
 
I didn't have much choice, the shipper stated that he always used UPS and never had a problem. I told him if he was going to ship via UPS then I wanted a live arrival guarentee for the $$$$ I was spending. He agreed and ended up sending another as a replacement for free with no hassles after UPS screwed the pooch for him on the first one.


I just covered the bases on the deal, it worked out for me. Just not for the seller or the first monitor. UPS was a huge hassle and very unprofessional in the whole thing.
