    Google Adsense ad revenue for December, 2025 was just $30 over the cost of the lease for the server running this site. So, in effect, the money providing the incentive for me to continue running this site is coming SOLELY from the paid memberships and sponsorships here. Which honestly ain't much....

Any snake you have after Jan 1st cannot be sold or traded if you live in NY. You either apply for the permit and keep it until it dies or surrender it to animal control. You are not allowed to buy any additional animals listed in the ban and you cannot breed any of the banned animals even if you have a permit to keep them. Once the ban goes into effect a person from NY will not be able to sell the snake to someone in NJ or CT unless they want to violate the law and risk losing all their animals.
Since the law allows for random unnanounced visits, you could possibly be nailed for selling one of the snakes.

As I said before, perhaps you should brush up on the old reading skills before suggesting others might have a problem with their comprehension.

Dan What are you posting???? What does that quote have to do with anything???? It is not illegal to own venomous in NY if you paperwork is in order...... You can not breed or replace them but you can get rid of it...... You are not allowed to sell or trade it ***IN*** New York....... The law as far as I read it does not say it can not be sold or traded outside of the state..... Quote where it says this.... And how can you loose animals you sold???? Like I said learn how to read the law...... This law is spacific for NY..... It has nothing to do with other surrounding states..... Youn are allowed to transport venomous as long as you are permitted.... It states so on the actual permit...... Again know what you speak of before you speak......
 
For my own info, has this bill in fact been signed? When is it in effect? and does anyone know where I can find factual info on it?

im pretty sure its illegal in Oregon to BUY/SELL/TRADE venomous animals....

ive got a buddy who brought a cobra into his pet shop...in a mall Loyd Center...dropped the package the snake was in, snake got loose, animal control showed up fined him,made him move his store...told my buddy Twin is his name never screw around again or the would shut him down...

i also have a few friends that work for ups..and they are currently reading all posts about this Kevin dude...so i guess you can consider yourself on the Hotlist with Ups..dude..

Oregon has strange laws about keeping venomous. It's not illegal to keep venomous reptiles in the state, BUT certain counties have regulations on what you can and cannot have. LIke Multnomah county(the lloyd center area) it's against county regulations to sell venomous reptiles or any reptile that will reach an adult size greater than 8ft. Twin moved his store because the building was being sold not because of an incident with a cobra. Where did you get your information? If DF&W wanted him to move his store they would have made him move out of the county, but he only moved a few miles away, still in the same county. However in Clackamas county you can have whatever you want providing you can take care of it.

Twin himself gave me that story! He is a personnal friend of mine and i don see why he would lie about something like that.....

He even told me it was a cobra called a monnaacle...sorry for the spelling....

if youdo not believe me Twin is on 36 and division ill be their Thursday at 2:00 pm and ill confront him on the subject with you there....

antways not trying to argue about Twin....you are probly right about the venomous snake in Oregon stuff ill ask my dads buddy more about the subject

Strange that DF&W let Twin move from a less populated area to a more heavily populated area after a "venomous snake escape" let alone in the same county. I've known Twin for about 5 years now and remember when the thrift store that his shop was attatched to at Lloyd center went out of buisness and made him move. And trust me I'm not somebody you'll want to "confront"

What I dont understand is why you are directing that question to me...... Either way, who ever said that, if it involves venomous then there is realy only a choice of two places you can use to ship and both are air carriers...... Delta and NorthWest air...... Any other carrier used would be illegal and could be disasterous....
