Scott,
I have to say that you are posting some rather interesting comments in this thread lately. It is really not acceptable for you assign motivations to Corey when he has offered his own, plausible reason for not wanting to accept Kez' offer as it NOW stands. Corey has said that if Kez would simply replace the "male" for an actual female, he would consider the deal done. Let's examine that for a moment shall we?
The arrangment will cost Kez a grand total of about $25! I do not count the differential in prices between a male and a female because a) Kez asserts that the snake in question IS a female too (no harm, no foul in swapping them!), and b) IF the snake IS a male, it was Kez' mistake that started this whole mess, and he deserves that minute loss to be placed upon him. Corey has agreed to pay shipment of the mis-sexed animal back to Kez, so there appears to be no reason not to do this.
The other arrangement, however, has Corey (at his expense) shipping this "male" back to Kez for a refund of $75. Deducting shipping charges, that means that Corey has a grand total of $50 back on a nice male honduran. In effect, Corey is still out his female (and her purchase price), but Kez has purchased a male from Corey at $75 shipping included!?!? If this is Kez' final offer (I Hope not, because it is unfair of him, if it is), WHY IN THE WORLD would corey want to take him up on it???? Would he not just be better off selling the animal for $75 plus shipping? He would still be out a female, but at least he wouldn't be missing the extra $25!
Tell me, Scott . . . If you had both of these offers made to you, which would you want??? I don't know why you (and one or two others) are jumping on Corey so incessantly, but he hasn't done or said anything wrongly in this thread, that I can see. $25 may not seem like enough money to quarrel about, but it seems to be the principle of the matter that serves as cause for which Corey finds himself unwilling to yield. I guess we could turn it around on Kez and say this, "If you're so certain that snake is female, why are you unwilling to be out $25 to make a customer happy, if it means swapping a female for a female?"
I am not ascribing any motivations to you, Scott, because that would be just as unnacceptable for me as it is now for you. Let me just suggest to you that this particular hobby horse is dead. If Robbie chooses not to honor his original agreement to swap a female for a female, he will not only have gone back on his word to a dissatisfied customer (a very bad practice in this business, by the way!), he will have also been VERY petty while doing so!
