    In short, DON'T! Email notices are to ONLY alert you of a reply to your private message or your ad on this site. Replying to the email just wastes your time as it goes NOWHERE, and probably pisses off the person you thought you replied to when they think you just ignored them. So instead of complaining to me about your messages not being replied to from this site via email, please READ that email notice that plainly states what you need to do in order to reply to who you are trying to converse with.

    Yeah, I know. They are a pain in the butt. But they pay the bills to keep my server running. Just a fact of life, I am afraid.

    Want to get rid of them? Simple. Just become a Contributor level member or above and they will be gone. -> Please click HERE."

    Is that too much for me to ask of you to keep this site running? Well, sorry about that. I too wish I could get everything for free. But alas.....

    =====================

    Google Adsense ad revenue for December, 2025 was just $30 over the cost of the lease for the server running this site. So, in effect, the money providing the incentive for me to continue running this site is coming SOLELY from the paid memberships and sponsorships here. Which honestly ain't much....

On 12/23 I gave him a live rat fuzzy, then left him alone. On the morning of 12/24 I came in to find Kierkegaard sleeping next to a now-deceased but still uneaten rat pup. Later that morning I saw no further activity: Kierkegaard appeared to have lost interest and was now exploring his cage.

To ensure that we didn't wind up with rotting rat in his cage (it's happened already, and it sucks) I reached in with the tongs and pulled out the deceased pup. Kierkegaard gave a half-hearted strike -- but this time he held on. And when I slowly let the pup down

... he let it go again.

I jiggled it: still no response.

Finally I figure "OK, we'll try again in a couple days" -- and just then Kierkegaard grabs its head, throws a coil, and starts slowly swallowing. Fifteen minutes later he's heading back to his paper towel tube with a rat pup-sized bump in his tummy. Twenty-four hours later I awake to find a fresh and appropriately sized bowel movement in his home. I've never been so happy to find a pile of :censored: on Christmas morning.

Good deal!!!! Glad to hear he's figuring out that eating is just a part of life. Hopefully, between the two of you, he will develop proper eating habits, lol

He has spent a couple of days maxin' and relaxin' in his paper towel tube. We had him out for a few minutes last night during cage cleaning and he was doing fine.

Interestingly, I've noticed that he, like Oddjob, will give a series of three short hisses when startled: he's the only other snake I've heard that particular vocalization from. Since both originate in or around PNG, I wonder if there's something going on or if it's just coincidence.

Speaking of White-Lipped Pythons: you wouldn't happen to have any CB females you're looking to get rid of, would you? If you wanted to thin out your collection and get rid of a breeder female, I'd gladly help you free up the extra space. :wavey:

My D'Albert's are all on an indefinite "breeding loan." Should the person that has them tire of the project, or need to send them back for whatever reason, I will give you first option.
