    In short, DON'T! Email notices are to ONLY alert you of a reply to your private message or your ad on this site. Replying to the email just wastes your time as it goes NOWHERE, and probably pisses off the person you thought you replied to when they think you just ignored them. So instead of complaining to me about your messages not being replied to from this site via email, please READ that email notice that plainly states what you need to do in order to reply to who you are trying to converse with.

    Yeah, I know. They are a pain in the butt. But they pay the bills to keep my server running. Just a fact of life, I am afraid.

    Want to get rid of them? Simple. Just become a Contributor level member or above and they will be gone. -> Please click HERE."

    Is that too much for me to ask of you to keep this site running? Well, sorry about that. I too wish I could get everything for free. But alas.....

    =====================

    Google Adsense ad revenue for December, 2025 was just $30 over the cost of the lease for the server running this site. So, in effect, the money providing the incentive for me to continue running this site is coming SOLELY from the paid memberships and sponsorships here. Which honestly ain't much....

Superblast

This is a super pastel pinstripe,aka super blast, not a killer blast which is super pastel, spider, pinstripe.

It is my understanding that Super Blast is just another name for Killer Blast (Super Pastel X Pin). The Spider X Pin crosses are called Spinners, the Spider X Pin X Super Pastel is a Spinner Blast.

And I'm no expert but I'd call it a Killer Blast aka Super Blast.

It is correct that a Super Blast, and Killer Blast, are the same thing (Pinstripe + Super Pastel). Also that a Spinner is Pinstripe + Spider.
However, a Spinner Blast is Pinstripe + Spider + Pastel.
A Killer Spinner is Pinstripe + Spider + Super Pastel.

I agree that the snake in question looks like a Killer Blast (aka Super Blast).

:ack2: Dang it, I really did mean to write for both Spinner Blast AND Killer Spinner, and ran them together. Thank you for the correction!

Depends who you talk to. before a couple years ago, Both WoBP and NERDs websites claimed super blast was a super pastel pinstripe and killer blast was a super pastel spider pinstripe and both websites also claimed BHB was the first to produce both.

Then all of a sudden, WoBP changed their story and said killer blast was a super pastel pin and killer spinner was a super pastel spider pinstripe and also changed it to say NERD was the first to make both, even while NERDs own site said the other names and gave the claim to BHB. NERDs site has been redone since then tho.

This is exactly why we should refer to the morphs by their phenotypes ("super pastel pinstripe" or better yet, "homozygous pastel pinstripe" instead of making up cool names like "Killer Blast" etc). It would be a lot more to say/write but at least there would be no confusion.

Yep, it can be problematical when naming morphs and then renaming morphs, or having more than one name for a certain morph, etc.
Happens with other species as well.

super pastel pinstripe is a killerblast - http://www.worldofballpythons.com/morphs/killer-blast/
super pastel pinstripe spider is a killer spinner - http://www.worldofballpythons.com/morphs/killer-spinner/

bee = spider
blast = pinstripe
spinner = spider pinstripe

a bumble bee is a pastel spider.
a killer bee is a super pastel spider.
a pastel pinstripe is a lemon blast.
so why wouldn't a super pastel pinstripe be a killer blast?

if we go by what the hobby repeats over and over, who ever made it first gets to name it, which was BHB according to both WoBP and NERD a couple of years ago, before somehow the story changed. I'm sure the thought process around that time was combining the names super blast and killer bee. thus the killer blast.

It started as super blast; why change it?
Don't get me wrong, some consistency in naming morphs would be helpful; but it creates confusion when done retroactively. Using your logic, Ritchie, just for fun - there were super pastels before there were killer bees...so why would't they have been called super bees?
