How do I get rid of these guys in my gecko tanks?

In short, DON'T! Email notices are to ONLY alert you of a reply to your private message or your ad on this site. Replying to the email just wastes your time as it goes NOWHERE, and probably pisses off the person you thought you replied to when they think you just ignored them. So instead of complaining to me about your messages not being replied to from this site via email, please READ that email notice that plainly states what you need to do in order to reply to who you are trying to converse with.

Google Adsense ad revenue for December, 2025 was just $30 over the cost of the lease for the server running this site. So, in effect, the money providing the incentive for me to continue running this site is coming SOLELY from the paid memberships and sponsorships here. Which honestly ain't much....

what type of substrate are you using ? how often do you clean and what do you use to clean . how humid is your tank what type of animals are you keeping in these tanks ?

Clean your tank more often, or put up fly paper in the corners that they mostly occupy.
This is not a permanent solution, just helps decrease there abundance.

They're after the CGD. Make sure it's fresh, and none has spilled into the substrate.

You'll want to break their breeding cycle. If you leave CGD in overnight you might find maggots the next night. Removing the food the morning after feeding night and ensuring the tank substrates are not excessively moist will help.
For large collections, this might be more difficult. You could try feeding less often, letting the food dry out. This works well for sub adults and adults. For good juvenile growth, every other day might work better so just remove cups on this group.
Good luck, they are frustrating but probably don't do harm to your geckos. It's possible they can carry & transfer parasites but this hasn't been widely reported, and most crestie keepers run into issues of fruit flies.
