• Responding to email notices you receive.
    **************************************************
In short, DON'T! Email notices are to ONLY alert you of a reply to your private message or your ad on this site. Replying to the email just wastes your time as it goes NOWHERE, and probably pisses off the person you thought you replied to when they think you just ignored them. So instead of complaining to me about your messages not being replied to from this site via email, please READ that email notice that plainly states what you need to do in order to reply to who you are trying to converse with.

Yeah, I know. They are a pain in the butt. But they pay the bills to keep my server running. Just a fact of life, I am afraid.

Want to get rid of them? Simple. Just become a Contributor level member or above and they will be gone. -> Please click HERE."

Is that too much for me to ask of you to keep this site running? Well, sorry about that. I too wish I could get everything for free. But alas.....

    =====================

Google Adsense ad revenue for December, 2025 was just $30 over the cost of the lease for the server running this site. So, in effect, the money providing the incentive for me to continue running this site is coming SOLELY from the paid memberships and sponsorships here. Which honestly ain't much....

During a moment of "just browsing around", this Fauna Ad, posted by user name kimb (supposedly in Georgia), caught my attention for further scrutiny: http://www.faunaclassifieds.com/forums/showthread.php?t=360767
Not only is there not a full name, etc., but the wording really reminded me of such things as scam emails, from Cameroon, etc.

So, I did a search and found many Ads with the same, or very similar, wording as in this Fauna Ad.
Just a few examples are as follows:
States from Thailand
http://www.21food.com/products/tamed-parrots-and-parrot-eggs-742998.html
States from Cameroon
http://www.weiku.com/products/7459610/Fertile_parrots_eggs.html
States from Ahwahnee,USA & Apple Springs,USA
http://whzon.com/whozon/mbrClassifieds.asp?fwzUserID=223665

Thought I would post this just in case anyone happened to be interested in anything that they allege to be offering.
Sure appears that "Buyer Beware" would apply here.

Fertile parrot eggs are always a dead giveaway that it's a scam. Even if it wasn't, hatch rate on, say, shipped chicken eggs is never even 100%. That old saying about too good to be true comes to mind.

Must be Georgia, Cameroon.

The IP comes back to Georgia (at least on the two checks I did)...but that's been happening more and more. They're getting better; but luckily THOSE scams are pretty easy to detect. Sadly, there are people that miss the clues :shootfoot
