Replying to the email just wastes your time as it goes NOWHERE, and probably pisses off the person you thought you replied to when they think you just ignored them. So instead of complaining to me about your messages not being replied to from this site via email, please READ that email notice that plainly states what you need to do in order to reply to who you are trying to converse with.

    Google Adsense ad revenue for December, 2025 was just $30 over the cost of the lease for the server running this site. So, in effect, the money providing the incentive for me to continue running this site is coming SOLELY from the paid memberships and sponsorships here. Which honestly ain't much....

No, I don't. The site announcements are archived there. I used the archive search feature to actually have links going directly to those article for you to see. Originally the links to the announcements were posted on all of the KS sites in bold large text up in the splash text advertising area. They were up for many days.

Theres no special emails on Fauna either when something is going on , if you need to find out about anything new here, or when changes are to be made you don't get any special emails...yet I don't see anyone complaining about it.

It doesn't take to much time to just read the announcements on either site.
It would take less time to just read them , then it takes to come to this site to complain about it.

I do not feel that Kingsnake is so controlling to its customers.
Their TOS are put in place to insure smooth, safe business transactions for both KS.com AND its customers. Both sites demonstrate some of Capitalism at it best....or at least close enough for me.

If people were to blatantly disregarded the TOS here on Fauna....I doubt Rich would put up with it for long either. The rules are not so restrictive or controlling on EITHER site.
And....
People who rock the boat....usually get a little wet.
Sometimes it is better to just dry off and stop complaining.

How hard is to email Kingsnake to find out why they were removed
(and that is usually not necessary because when they pull an ad they always
send an email letting you know it was pulled and why) and then simply correct the problem and repost the ad. :shrug01:

HINT: cut and paste right from the email they sent you, just make the proper corrections.

I dont see how they are so controlling. There is really nothing draconian in their TOS to place ads. So I really dont understand where you are coming from with that.

I have heard others complain about how strict they are on their forums, but I have never used their forums so I cant say anything first hand about that aspect of their site. I literally poked my nose in their forums once about 4 or 5 years ago. I really dont like forums with that type of layout so I never bothered to return.
 
I have no problem with either this site or KS. As for the selling, the two years Ive been selling animals I made one deal on here the rest were all on KS and that about 40+ deals. I do get emails if something I did was wrong and I fix it cause I realize it was my fault. To tell you the truth, I pretty much waisted $25 to sell on this site. Now am I gonna get kicked off this site for saying that? Oh well. I'll stick with KS.

Nope, you will not be kicked off for stating that but I wouldn't look at it in the same way.

You paid $25 to contribute to a great site that also allows you to post classifieds and check out others in the hobby. I mean where else can people go to read about your business? I would think that alone would be worth the $25.00.
Contributing is what helps keeps threads like this good

I don't go to KS but it is just a personal choice. I think it is way to rigid over there in the forum so I choose to come here or to other places. I don't buy there nor do I sell there. Now that doesn't mean it will never happen and quite frankly the new system I am reading here is a good idea as far as I am concerned and I may have to re-think my stance on buying there now that there is legitimate companies there selling (proven). Coupled with this site and the BOI what KS is doing is a good thing for buyers.

I will also note that I have purchased a lot on KS because that is where I found the Ad for what I was looking for. BUT, I did check every single one of my purchases here first. How many of the people buying from you elsewhere did the same? Would they have purchased from you without any feedback from others?
 
The people that posted there bought from KS but put the post here. The feedback that people got to buy off me were references (emails addys) from other buyers. Im not putting down this site it has alot of info on here but I feel KS is a better place to buy, sell, trade.

Not controlling? well what about the price fixing thing they pulled on the guy for advertizing his ball pythons at too low a price.
I don't recall what all went on with that, but i imagine the ball python sellers union put the pressure on ks.com admin because they did'nt like the competition. That's controlling,IMO.

Their forums are a joke, nobody is allowed to mention forums of other reptile sites, why is that i wonder? it's not a problem here is it?
And when members have a little spat on a thread, the mod will delete the whole thread, kinda like pretending the thread never existed, instead of just deleting the troublemakers part.
From what i understand it's a lot more mellow overthere now, but no thanks i don't need/want or like ks.com. Been there done that, time to move forward.

And one more thing, why don't ks.com have the guts to have something like the BOI?
I'll tell you why, because their sellers would'nt like it.

Honestly, how can the crux of your argument be based on speculation and heresay? You don't even remember the specifics of the claim, which if I recall "price fixing" was never proven but was merely claimed by the person whose ads were pulled. Your conspiracy theory regarding a "ball python union" is laughable. I'm as open minded a person as you will meet but if you are going to present a "fact" to prove a point at least make sure it is a fact; not speculation or opinion.

We get it. You do not like Kingsnake and you do not want to hear anything positive about them. Give it a rest.

There was no price fixing. The Mods over there did not like the method he was using in his ads. They did not say anything about the actual price. I agree with him that there was nothing wrong with his method. However, they never told him that he could not calculate the price himself on a per gram basis and post it.

If you are going to make a claim, get your facts straight.

Right now, you simply sound like someone who got the boot over there and has decided to bitch at every opportunity. I believe it is called sour grapes

And by the way, the feeding pics ARE irresponsible and childish. I would not be advertising the fact that I feed my animals while holding them. It is something a grade schooler would do.

Bottom line...if you don't like the way Kingsnake is run, don't frequent the site.

See how easy that was.

As for feeding photos....Kingsnake has nothing against feeding photos. Actually, I have feeding photos running in one of my advertisements there RIGHT NOW!

Sometimes customer like to see that the "snake in question" REALLY does feed and is not shy about it...so once in a while I will include a feeding photo....thawed prey items.

The problem with your photo was OBVIOUS!.....(not the most recent photo you posted here)....but the one where you are "Flipping the Bird" while a milksnake is wrapped around the "offending hand"....and feeding.

Perhaps if you had used a little common sense and mature judgement you would not be whining about Kingsnake....and they would not have given you the boot.
