    Google Adsense ad revenue for December, 2025 was just $30 over the cost of the lease for the server running this site. So, in effect, the money providing the incentive for me to continue running this site is coming SOLELY from the paid memberships and sponsorships here. Which honestly ain't much....

You are not understanding what I am saying. Whatever happened to get you banned is irrelevant, whether it was a year ago or a decade. They will use this thread alone as a reason not to lift the ban. I ain't saying I agree with it or think it is fair, but it is what it is. You made a negative post about KS on the BOI. From what I understand, they do not take kindly to something like that.

This is the owner of kingsnake and he is an absolute jerkoff. He will indiscriminately ban people with no reason or cause and then hide behind his website. He\'s been getting rich off the backs of herpers for years. He also hides behind a brother who thinks he is F. Lee Bailey in court, when in fact the guy is nothing more than an ambulance chasing hack of a lawyer. File a lawsuit in small claims court where you live, even if it is in another state. KS is based out of Georgetown, Texas(Austin). File it in a larger amount to elicit a reply from KS. Have them served. You\'ll get your money back. You also get banned from KS if you disagree with any of the gods that frequent that site in the forums and if you disagree with Barringers position on anything. He has banned numerous people for their comments on the new Boa/python ban proposal and for professing their not liking his adding music that is devil worship type to the site. I mean it is a herp site - not a music video site, but it his so there you go.

Amazing how this sounds exactly like the tactics Bob Sloan has threatened to use on numerous people who have crossed his path. If memory serves, Sloan is also banned from Kingsnake. You're slipping Bobby.

Jeff Barringer' information I got from the better business bureau in Austin Texas and his company has a rating of F! He never responds to their inquiry which is typical of Jeff. I submitted my online order form that took my credit card number and never contacted me about it when I asked when it would be processed. This is credit card fraud and he should not be selling t-shirts and other items online using credit cards or checks. He is stealing your information. I filled out a complainant with Texas Attorney Generals Office online after speaking with and agent for them. www.texasattorneygeneralsoffice.gov and went to consumer and then to file a complaint about not receiving communication after they got my credit card number. Jeff's information is Onlinehobbyist.com,Inc. telephone:1-512-791-6536 he most likely will not answer due to he screens all his calls and they go to a message center. The better business bureau is not very good to get any investigatory action for credit card fraud or discrimination. The more people contact them they may shut down kingsnake.com for fraud and discrimination even though Jeff repeatedly claims it is a "private site" that he owns. Yes he owns it but selling to the public is not private!

The only way to stop KS at this point is to be better then them, use the classifieds on this site and others and stop buying into the typical BS of KS... I am still banned and all contact was cut off from Jeff and Kevin. Neither provided me with an address to pay them therefore I have moved on passed this thread. I don't care if I ever get back on KS it means nothing to me and even if they let me back in I would not advertise or promote myself or business on their site... I can only hope that thousands of other people will do the same... after all in my opinion their site is horrible to navigate and the same animals are being sold by the same people and all the time..

Unless I am misunderstanding the OP got his $35 back, so there's no cause for small claims (even if it hadn't such a move would probably cost more/be more hassle than it's worth).

To the OP: well, yes if it was in the original agreement you should have gotten your CD, and $75 is a lot to charge, but if you agreed to pay it you agreed to pay it and should have done so. KS is kevin's site and while I don't know enough about him to know if he really "abuses" his privileges, I can't fault him for banning someone he feels stiffed him. True the ban happened years later, perhaps your TOS violation reminded him and that's why you're still banned.
If you want to use KS go ahead and ask what you can do, but don't ~expect~ to be reinstated. Although it's a lot more likely you will be if you do pay Kevin back, and if you are very polite about your requests.
Otherwise, there's plenty of other venues...

It became apparent over personal emails that no form of business past or present was what either of them wanted. I made several attempts to pay but was denied the ability to make a payment. After all the BS was done, it is apparent that the only thing they want to do is to keep "Trouble Maker's" off their site and by trouble maker I mean people that are very aware of the hobby and it's scammers.... I believe in many other sites and their ability to help me advertise far more then KS... I have taken my self and my purchasing to other sites. The KS world is long gone from my view and is nothing more then bump in an otherwise very fun road I have traveled in this hobby.
 
Call your credit card company like others suggested and get your money back for any services not provided. Kingsnake isn't a collections agency so they can't begin to collect on dept not specifically owed to them. You need to bypass the emails to them and consult your credit card company.
 
Keep in mind that Kingsnake has a strict TOS and sticks to it. I personally have has good luck with the site and Jeff has always been good with me. Remember that cooler heads prevail. Good luck.

They ban free speech and delete valid posts for no reason at all. They censor people through deletion with no reason given public or private. Then there is the insane repetitiveness of it all…. It really drives me crazy to see people asking and answering the same questions over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over again… It’s nothing short of banning people with real opinions who actually do know what is going on…

um... free speech does NOT exist on a privately owned website. You can't use free speech as an excuse because the gvt. is not the one censoring you

Plain and Simple if you want to be censored post on KS if you don't and you want to live in the real world go to another forum...

What world do you live in?
Just because the Federal Government allows for a higher level of freedom of speech does not mean that it restricts others from imposing further limitations on that freedom.
You get on an airplane and start verbally acting up you get tossed as you would in many business establishments. When you are in someone elses establishment you are obligated to follow the rules of the owner of that establishment, known or unknown. It is called conforming to societal rules. If you have not yet learned how to do that I would suggest your life will be easier if you learn.
In short in my housee you follow my rules or I throw you out the door and I do not have to care if you like it or not.
The level of freedom of speech you seek does not exist.

Do you allow anyone to say anything they want in your house? If someone started spewing things that you didn't want said in your home, would you give them the keys to the front door and say, "Come back whenever you want?" Why not - you house, i assume, is on American soil. Doesn't that mean that have free speech there - like they do on a privately owned internet site...regardless of who owns it?

Is it wrong for the owner of the BOI (i.e., RichZ) to remove SPAM from this site because SPAMMERS have free speach, too? Is it?
 
First off,
I understand that Freedom of Speech does not apply to private property but I am not talking about language being banned from KS. I understand that in there TOS profanity and slander is against their rules. In the beginning when I was just a small time KS trouble maker I got dinged for using a couple of tame curse words but I was not banned just censored then. After years of posting pics, comments and ideas worthy of a (G) rating I had a very innocent yet thought provoking post deleted with no reason given via email or other communication saying why, no names were used in the body of the post and no TOS rules were broken it was plain and simple they didn’t like what was being said so it was deleted. Then over the next couple of years from 2002 till 2006 I had several other posts deleted that again did not break any TOS rules but were deleted. It got so bad that even picture posts of mine were being deleted and no I was not banned at this point. Then came a bad business deal that developed over KS and they were unwilling to ban or suspend the person in question. I was banned for something I know was my very own fault, I have seen this banning happen before with other people and they are back on KS. I know several people who post on the KS forums with caution, they never know what will be deleted no matter how innocent the post seems. It is KS’s right to censor their members as they wish but their censorship is run like Cuba or the Nazis as is so popularly teased now a days. It stopped being a fun place to express myself and now it has been over a year since my banning. I don’t believe that anyone has been banned for so long from their site for much less what I did. When I started this thread I wanted to make things right with them but they decided to shut that down and refused me the opportunity to make it right. I chose to BAN KS from my business and personal life. My opinion of their site is that it is repetitive and mundane therefore not the kind of site for me so I went on the net and found another place to post my ideas and disagreements way before my banning.

I absolutely allow people to express their ideas on my private property with out censorship because I am an open minded individual interested in what many people think.

To anyone else who lives on KS and read this thread and got offended by my idea that KS should not be censoring daily conversation even though it is a “PRIVATE” site. You see that word private is used very loosely on the net and I feel that if a business chooses to have a “PUBLIC” discussion area then it should be as open a place for discussion as a meadow in the mountains. If a business builds a room on their property then props a camera in there and broadcasts customers discussing their ideas the business becomes responsible for their actions but the customer is also liable for their own actions so the business whether public or private has the right to censor the content but they also have a right to keep record and make available that record to the public and also to the government. I have asked KS for transcripts and proof but again I have never seen one scrap of proof of my violations concerning their forums or email service. By law I am allowed to protest against KS, a can stand outside Jeff’s house on the side walk and protest him; I can go to reptile shows and stand in front of his table and protest. I made my choice and I will continue to take my ideas, business and pictures to other web sites. I am not censored on other private sites the way KS censored me and that is the way I like it.

If you have an original idea to argue against this post then have at it but I have said all I think I need to say about this and there is really no point in repeating the same idea over and over again. There is a place for receptiveness but for me it is not here, if you were too lazy to read my ideas but ambitious enough to post under this then shame on you. That is disrespectful of an individual and you should be ashamed of yourself.
