    Google Adsense ad revenue for December, 2025 was just $30 over the cost of the lease for the server running this site. So, in effect, the money providing the incentive for me to continue running this site is coming SOLELY from the paid memberships and sponsorships here. Which honestly ain't much....

I wanted to see if Rich M would answer. He was viewing the thread when I posted it and for several minutes after. I even waited around for a response from him, knowing he was viewing. Can't say I'm surprised he hasn't answered such a very simple question. Perhaps his alter-ego will respond. lol

Mike, do your ip checks, whatever.....You really need to get a life now at this point. The fact that you have "BOI vigilante" tells me your just someone who likes to stir up the pot and cause unnecessary dialogue. I have wireless internet at my house which Rich can log onto(just like starbucks). I just sat him down at my desk. I didn't pay attention to whether he used my computer or his laptop to open an account on fauna/BOI and I really didn't care. I was busy with something else and wanted him to have a platform to gripe a little about getting shafted by KS. We are two different people and yes I felt bad for getting him involved into herps at all because he's a single dad and doesn't have an extra $100 to let KS steal and not refund. That's all. Not sure why that's soo tough to understand. Lay down your guns McGyver, there's nothing to uncover here, no split personalities, cover ups, etc.....Rich and I are done beating this to death.(and getting beat to death) I wish this thread was more exciting to you, but unfortunately it's not.

HOLLY CRAP!!!!!! Why is it you people even care? I know the people involved and I don't even care this much!!! I mean don't you people have some cages to clean or something to do? Get over it! The best part is he was complaining about KS. Is this KS? No its not. Get a Life People!!! Go do something productive. Go plant a tree, or walk your dog.

Hope you all have a good night and can see past this high school drama. Lets not forget we are all here for the love of reptiles, and to share our passion with each other.
 
This is no coincidence.
After being banned from Kingsnake, a fact that I am now over. I got to know Barry a little better since I am new to being a pethobbyist and we have something in common now. He told me he had home networking problems, I am A+ and Network+ certified, I told him I could help him out for a few trades. While working on his network he told me about Fauna Classifieds and that it free to post. I did all my signing up at his house on my Laptop which I take everywhere I go. Everytime I wrote something down I was at his house on his network.
Since meeting Barry I have learned a lot more about Turtles or Tortoises are a good profit.

Ive heard many horror stories about KS and its strict terms, so I don't doubt any of this but the politics involved are getting old yes?

You dont come to the BOI and just post what you want without getting feedback about it.

And Brian, if you have a problem with the members of this site, address them PERSONALLY, and take it elsewhere. the BOI is NOT the place for your petty comments about Fauna's Users, and how they post on the BOI about something that they feel deserves to be manned up to.
 
Barry, you & Rich Montoya may well be two different people, but when you put something into words, then you should actually be CERTAIN about what you are stating as truth. For example ...

I also have a private home network with 4 computers (2 laptops, 2 PCs). I had to share my WEP key with my friend/co-worker a couple weeks ago when her internet at home was down. She brought her own laptop, but I had to give her my WEP # for her to access the internet. I know it could happen .
The point is .. I know what computer she was on because she needed certain info from me to access the internet on my dime.

All that aside ... don't state something as fact unless it is actually factual.

If those who frequent the BOI allowed anyone to post whatever they wanted without question, all legitimacy would be gone. We ask for some honesty if you want to be taken seriously, and quite frankly, when something looks fishy, it usually is. Kingsnake.com isn't always the most user-friendly place to do business, but you've got to admit it's odd that they banned Rich for selling your animals, and then he starts a bad guy thread about them on your computer from your house. Still, he claims he just bought some torts from you. It seems suspicious.

BOI Vigilante = I am vigilant in what I do. I look at ads, and if I see suspicious behavior, I bring it here before it becomes the next TSE. That is what a BOI Vigilante is. I don't stir stuff up...but you bet your ass that if I see something fishy, you're getting called on it.

If he's a single Dad and really cant afford to lose $100 then why is he buying odd and end tortoises from you in the first place? Does he really need another hobby that has the potential to get very expensive if the animal becomes ill and needs to be seen by a vet?

He says $100 means nothing and its just the principal. You say he cant afford to lose $100 but have no problem with selling him animals that can run him up astronomical bills.

Your story, Rich's story, they just don't add up. You each have posted completely different stories and Rich is not inclined to post any information to verify his identity. You have each logged in and out numerous times when one or the other found it necessary to answer a question.

Honestly, you seem like a very smart guy that has just never got caught up in his lies until now. I think your immense anger toward KS brought about the creation of a character to vent your frustrations and to have someone siding with you and so as to encourage others to join your crusade against KS. Misery loves company from what I understand.

I realize that you feel this is getting silly now.. BUT, in my opinion you have made too many mistakes in your posts and now you are getting upset because these guys are not stupid and you know that you have been caught in public with your pants down.. Please know that Chuck is NOT the only one here that believes that "Rich" is a fictional character that you made up on kingsnake to sell animals and again here on the BOI to bitch about getting caught..

If you really want this to end, then have "Rich" post up some proof that he is a real person.. License with the address crossed out, phone bill, water bill.. anything.. Until then many of us will believe that Rich = Barry & Barry = Rich..

I have thought that this thread was fishy since post #1.. You started this.. Now it's your turn to man up and put this to rest!

One thing I feel is very important to address is the matter of credibility. Sure, we can attack Rick/Barry all day, but it's important for the readers to know why. Many here are not huge fans of KS.com, but Rich came here with a complaint, and posted publicly. If he turns out to be lying about his very identity, his entire account of what happened and why is suspect, and can be taken with a grain of salt.

You guys just happened to be online right around the same times? Each of these posts by Rich occurred exactly 8 minutes after Barry's. That's enough time to log out, log in, and type something up. Considering the extreme similarity between Rich's two posts here, it sounds like a premeditated statement, which wouldn't take long to write out. Or a statement that you forgot you already posted, which if it were just one person.. Rich hasn't posted much, I find it hard to believe that he would forget.

Now, I am not saying that Rich is indeed. I do not know that definitively. I am letting the OP know that, as a completely objective bystander, I am not convinced of his story. There are just far to many "coincidences." I am familiar with KS.com, but I have never used it, so I am not biased for or against them. But I am inclined to disregard the OP's complaint because I cannot verify that his story is even remotely true. It might be. But I'm not going to get angry at KS.com for something that just "might be" true. Posting personal info is extreme, but honestly, if you are two different people, you need to do something a lot better to convince us, because so far almost everything in this thread suggests that is not true.
