In short, DON'T! Email notices are to ONLY alert you of a reply to your private message or your ad on this site. Replying to the email just wastes your time as it goes NOWHERE, and probably pisses off the person you thought you replied to when they think you just ignored them. Kingsnake hasn’t pooped??

I have a baby Mexican black kingsnake i got in September.. i have cleaned his cage once since then, but have recently become very worried about his pooping habits.. I’ve never seen a piece of poop in his enclosure. He was weekly a pinky mouse, and it is the perfect size for him.. i just searched through his bedding now but found not one poop. He should have pooped 4 or 5 times since the last i cleaned his cage considering he eats weekly. What should i do?

Patience, he'll give you one eventually. A pinky mouse doesn't create a whole lot of waste material anyway.

okay, thank you... I will keep a very close eye on him. I did give him a lukewarm bath and massage his underbelly yesterday in hopes of moving it along. I hope he is not sick or in pain!

When you feed him, does the pinky make a noticeable bulge in his belly? If not, he might be ready to go on to larger food which, in turn, might make a bigger poop.

Is he passing urates OK? (The white, powdery stuff snakes leave instead of urine).

What type of heating do you have for him? If his body temp is to low he will take much much longer to digest any prey items.

Mine didn't either for the first month I had her. She just had her 1st shed with me and left a big one on the inside of the shed. Didn't know they could do that.

But it worked and she was voracious, more then usual right after that.

Good luck.
