Did anyone notice that you cannot place an ad longer than 7 days in their classified. Unless I am mistaken, it used to provide 15 and 30 days. Now its been cut drasticlly. Anyone else see this.

Responding to email notices you receive.

In short, DON'T! Email notices are to ONLY alert you of a reply to your private message or your ad on this site. Replying to the email just wastes your time as it goes NOWHERE, and probably pisses off the person you thought you replied to when they think you just ignored them. So instead of complaining to me about your messages not being replied to from this site via email, please READ that email notice that plainly states what you need to do in order to reply to who you are trying to converse with.

Yeah, I know. They are a pain in the butt. But they pay the bills to keep my server running. Just a fact of life, I am afraid.

Is that too much for me to ask of you to keep this site running? Well, sorry about that. I too wish I could get everything for free. But alas.....

Google Adsense ad revenue for December, 2025 was just $30 over the cost of the lease for the server running this site. So, in effect, the money providing the incentive for me to continue running this site is coming SOLELY from the paid memberships and sponsorships here. Which honestly ain't much....

I'd bet that would eliminate ads still being posted well after the animal is sold.

DAVID, if the animal was sold, you can
delete the ad. I think that this is a way of providing more space for additonal advertisers.

Are you getting towards the end of your subscription? If so it won't allow you to place ads that will extend past your end date.

and I think that may be the answer, but this ad is for Jan05, my subscription expires in Feb of 05. I should be entitled to the month if your reasoning is correct. ...........I think!

I just checked and I can do ads for upto 30 days.
If your trying to renew that ad today, the lowest category they have that runs out before Feb 05 would be 7 days (they take you to the exact date that you subscribed instead of by month, didn't think Jeff would give you a couple free days did you?
)

Why pay money to post classifieds o KingSuck when there are so many FREE places to post, this one being that obvious choice? Doesn't make sense to me.
Doesn't anyone else see giving money to the man who sued Rich as a conflict of interests? I sure hope none of you claimed to have "supported" WebSlave through the lawsuit.

I have been posting on Kingsnake for 9 years now. I have no complaints with his advertising policies. Sometimes misunderstandings , but I stay out of the politics between personality clashes. If Rich has a problem with Jeff, thats their business, not mine. I support both, by advertising in both realms. But I make it a policy not to interfere if it can effect MY business.

I'd like to ad to that...
I do my best to utilize as many classifieds as possible, but I have found time and time again, I'll post an ad here, an ad there, and it never fails. One, maybe two replies AT BEST from the others. KS however, I can count on an easy 20+ inquiries within the first day or so depending on the species. To date I have sold approx. 500+ animals through KS, maybe a dozen or so elsewhere. Do the math...
I'm a big fan of the BOI, and I think it's an excellent resource to the hobby. Webslave obviously works hard, and I see Fauna getting bigger and better all the time, however - it seems KS still reigns supreme when it comes to the classified sections.
