• Responding to email notices you receive.

    In short, DON'T! Email notices are to ONLY alert you of a reply to your private message or your ad on this site. Replying to the email just wastes your time as it goes NOWHERE, and probably pisses off the person you thought you replied to when they think you just ignored them. So instead of complaining to me about your messages not being replied to from this site via email, please READ that email notice that plainly states what you need to do in order to reply to who you are trying to converse with.

    Yeah, I know. They are a pain in the butt. But they pay the bills to keep my server running. Just a fact of life, I am afraid.

    Want to get rid of them? Simple. Just become a Contributor level member or above and they will be gone. -> Please click HERE."

    Is that too much for me to ask of you to keep this site running? Well, sorry about that. I too wish I could get everything for free. But alas.....

    =====================

    Google Adsense ad revenue for December, 2025 was just $30 over the cost of the lease for the server running this site. So, in effect, the money providing the incentive for me to continue running this site is coming SOLELY from the paid memberships and sponsorships here. Which honestly ain't much....

Kinjakous

Never kept one, have seen them. They look fabulous but I imagine they're incredibly hard work: like hyperactive otters on speed. Can't imagine what destruction follows in their wake... But just an opinion.

Strike that, late at night and I was thinking of Coatimundis :eek:

Sorry!)

Anjelika,
Kinkajous can make very good pets for certain people, however they take an awful lot of work. They are nocturnal (sleep during the day, awake at night) and they require a very large cage. Their diet consists of mainly fruit so they are expensive to feed. They are very loving, but also have been known to attack (they have long canine teeth and large claws). I don't say these things to discourage you, I have a female and I love her completely, but Kinkajous are not for everyone and are a very big commitment. I hope this helps.

We own a female kinkajou and she is the joy of our household. She is a lot of work but well worth it. You will have to baby-proof you whole house because they get into everything. We have latches on our cupboards and cabinets so she doesn't get into poisens or our food. They are not expensive to feed and will eat most anything you eat. They climb everything and will pick certain things to chew on. Ours has her own room for a cage but usually just sleeps in it. We take her out for a few hours in the morning and a few hours before bedtime. I would suggest getting another animal for a kinkajou to play with because there is no way you could fulfill her playful needs. We have a dog for that and the play for hours at a time. John
