Florida Mud Turtles are recognized as a sub spicies of the eastern mud, But when comparing them together it's obvious even to the casual hobbyist that this is a seperate species. Found only in the peninsular Florida, It is very rare through out it's range with females being extremely rare. Rarest of them all is a very dark phase which is only occasionaly seen.
With fully grown adults under 5" FLA Mud's are excellent small tank turtles. Many keepers overseas have recently reconized Florida mud turtles for the rare prize that they are so expect these turtles to become increasingly difficult to find.
C.B.B. approximatly six year's old have had with another male (dark phase) possibly gravid no guarantee on her being gravid, But going by she can not pull her hind legs in looks gravid to me. This would be her first clutch if she is my lost youre gain. Finances forcing me to sell $350.
Please inquire directly to my email I will respond back quicker. Thank You for taking the time to look.
Thank You
