    In short, DON'T! Email notices are to ONLY alert you of a reply to your private message or your ad on this site. Replying to the email just wastes your time as it goes NOWHERE, and probably pisses off the person you thought you replied to when they think you just ignored them. So instead of complaining to me about your messages not being replied to from this site via email, please READ that email notice that plainly states what you need to do in order to reply to who you are trying to converse with.

    Google Adsense ad revenue for December, 2025 was just $30 over the cost of the lease for the server running this site. So, in effect, the money providing the incentive for me to continue running this site is coming SOLELY from the paid memberships and sponsorships here. Which honestly ain't much....

knobolichi eating problems

I have three knobolichi hatchlings that are not eating by themselves. I have been force feeding them since July or August, so they don't look terrible but they are underweight. Any hints to get them eating?

Were they ever eating consistently? If so, how many times?.. A lot of North American colubrids will go off feed during the winter months regardless of what temps you keep them at.. If you are still concerned you can try feeding live day old pinkies, braining pinks, or try scenting a pink with a dead anole or fence lizard. Wash the pink off good if you try this method. I have a picky eater that did not start eating for almost 2 months after it hatched.
 
They have not eaten by themselves at all. I put them down for brumation about 3 months ago to see if that would start them eating. They started looseing weight so I brought them up, but they still have not started eating.
 
Not sure why you would brumate non feeding hatchlings? Brumation slows their metabolism and usually triggers hormonal changes. Hopefully by now you have them warmed back up and are offering prey items every couple days. Good luck getting them on track!
