    In short, DON'T! Email notices are to ONLY alert you of a reply to your private message or your ad on this site. Replying to the email just wastes your time as it goes NOWHERE, and probably pisses off the person you thought you replied to when they think you just ignored them. So instead of complaining to me about your messages not being replied to from this site via email, please READ that email notice that plainly states what you need to do in order to reply to who you are trying to converse with.

    Yeah, I know. They are a pain in the butt. But they pay the bills to keep my server running. Just a fact of life, I am afraid.

    Want to get rid of them? Simple. Just become a Contributor level member or above and they will be gone. -> Please click HERE."

    Is that too much for me to ask of you to keep this site running? Well, sorry about that. I too wish I could get everything for free. But alas.....

    =====================

    Google Adsense ad revenue for December, 2025 was just $30 over the cost of the lease for the server running this site. So, in effect, the money providing the incentive for me to continue running this site is coming SOLELY from the paid memberships and sponsorships here. Which honestly ain't much....

Today at a herp show i picked up a BEAUTIFUL and cheap Kunasir (kunashir?) 3 year old rat snake. He was priced awesome! so i snagged him up (from Bob Mcivor, Robert McIvor? Any info on this guy would be rad too. He had a small set up but his snakes were healthy and he was pretty protective of them, he seemed like a nice guy!)

My question is, anyone had experience owning one of the dudes? there isnt a lot of info on these guys and I would love to know from people what they thought?

He has a great temperament, eats slightly smaller than average prey items (which i hear is not too far from normal)

Are there any good pages or tips on these guys? I heard they like to be a bit cooler than corns at 75, 80 tops? But again, i have also heard people keep them just like their corns giving them an 85 hot spot.

Any help for this dude would be greatly appreciated, tips or clues from people have owned them before.

The only consistent info i have found is to provide them with a humid hide at all times, give them climbing space and maybe a few extra hides than I would a normal colubrid, for extra security.

Hes a beautiful snake and lets home QT goes well for the next 60-90 days!
Then I can take some good pictures of the boy!

Thanks for reading, you all are super helpful and I love reading posts and checking out everyones' collection!
